Thanks so much! Love your philosophy, I definitely agree!! :)

I just started eating them because I wasn't getting enough protein. The dietician I saw told me its better to get protein through food so I'm trying to incorporate more protein foods into my diet but in the meantime I've been having quest bars... I think they taste pretty good too.
-
And I was the same weight for almost a month... Last couple days I've been eating more and just today lost 3lbs :)

I'm having a similar issue. I've been trying to add more snacks to my diet. I've been told food is a lot better way to get nutrients than protein bars, and you want balanced nutrition- not just lots of protein... But while I'm working up to more food, I have been adding protein bars just so I can get more calories in…

I just got hip bursitis a few months ago.... It's definitely a pain when exercising! I just started physical therapy for it, they told me anti inflamitories and ice will help. I have to do certain stretches everyday too... But I'm sure they'd be different w/ you since yours isn't in your hip. Maybe try seeing a PT?

Thanks everyone!! That makes sense. I think I'll look into getting a fitbit and hrm then..... So many things needed to keep track! It gets pricey! Lol

MY STORY: I was obses... I started a diet of 1200cal a day and have pretty much stuck to it this past yr. YES, I have lost a ton of weight... BUT I recently realized 1200cal was not the way to go. My hair is thinning, I have easy bruising, hypertension, cold fingers all the time, etc.... I started upping my calorie intake…

I just started taking swim lessons recently... I'm sure there is a place by you that offers them... I googled it and found a pool through the city by me that teaches it. It wasn't too much either, even for private lessons(I'm too self conscious to take a group lesson!). I fell in the river a few wks ago while SUP... I had…

Ice skating, kayaking, SUP are all fun

I normally play games on my iPad or iPhone while using the elliptical... It passes the time for me, otherwise I get bored. I have actually gone pretty fast(20mph while at lvl 6) while doing this too so I don't think it necessarily takes away... Yes, I could be using both arm handles to exercise my arms but I go kayaking a…

I use Splenda and I don't think it's affected my weight loss :)

Thank you!! :) I feel like I'm close to my goal... But I just can't pinpoint what it is lol that's why I'm trying to figure out my bf% :)
-
Thanks!! I'll try that... I'm curious enough I might just do it :)
-
I tried measuring it using the Pollock 3, 4, 7, and Parrillo methods... They were all really close, between 14-16% BF..... I did the measuring tape and it was about 10% more... But the tape isn't as accurate? How do I find a place that does the bod mod measurement?
-
Haha! At that point that I don't think I'll care tho lol
-
That makes sense... I'll look into one of those! Thanks so much!

I was using a website that had different methods using the calipers... One you measure ab, thigh, tricep, and suprailiac and enter it in... But another method you measure bi, tri, subscapular, and suprailiac...... There were like 5 diff ways but each one had me at a diff BF :/ ?

Thanks everyone!! Can't believe over a yr ago I did absolutely nothing at all... Couldn't even last 3mins on an elliptical!
-
Now I just hope I can keep it up! Lol :)
-
Thanks!! I don't really know my secret, I was just determined I guess... I kept telling myself I had to do it. A year ago I started with only walking and now I do all kinds of exercise... I'm not usually proud of myself but I am about this :)
-
I'm curious what others have to say too. From my experience... I've been at a deficit for a long time but over the past 3-4 days I've upped my calorie intake... So far I haven't gained any weight so I'm hopeful.
-
Thanks!! Guess I reached my goal a while ago and didn't even know lol :)
-
Just did the thing and figured out my body fat %...... It says I'm in the middle of the healthy range..... The BMI thing says I'm still 14lbs over.... And the height/waist ratio thing says I'm a little over by like an inch.......... Which should I go by??
-
I read that your waist should be no more than half your height... Is that more accurate?
-
I've been missing periods and having hormonal changes... I suspect it's because of my diet. I just saw my dr yesterday so am waiting to get blood work results back to get it confirmed.
-
I just started PT for my hip... I'm logging it under strength exercises. I don't really think of it as exercise that burns calories for me but I wanted to keep a record that showed I did it and on what days

Awesome! Thanks everyone! I'm headed to the store later so I'll definitely try some of those out! :)
-
This happened to me recently and it bummed me out too! I returned the new scale to the store and got a different new one... I liked that one a lot better so kept it lol
-
Thanks everyone!! I'll look all those up and try some!! Is it possible to get too much protein?
-
Normally I only go to places where I can find the nutrition info but for the times I couldn't I picked something similar and selected whichever one that had the most calories. Trying to make a recipe would be too much work for me lol
