To the OP, yes measure ALL YOUR FOOD. Oh man, this was so hard to learn for me. I thought a tablespoon was a tablespoon but oh my what an unfortunate thing to learn of the discrepancies! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGcdyfDM3oQ

my above comment was to you, sorry, and thank you for the compliment!

Yes! You will find that they are very supportive and will help you find so many answers to IIFYM, as well as give you recipe and workout ideas and goals!

I had a very hard time controlling my appetite when I was nursing, too, and it seemed I gained weight, too. If you are looking at trying to stay within 2000 (unfortunately I have little advice on what you burn while bfing) I would say stick to voluminous foods. Foods with little calories but that help you feel fuller.…

I will concur with what someone else said about the nutbutter, however, I would say that your protein intake looks low to me, while your carb intake looks pretty high. Also, are you measuring precisely? It appears you have the banana, for example, every day. But are you weighing it? Because I find it hard to believe a…

I am at work and can't get on facebook to see, but if it was IIFYM Women with just over 8000 members, probably. Admins are Paige Vandemark and Jessica Foard and some others. I recommend if you get accepted, read all the pinned posts. This will really answer a lot of questions for you. You don't have to do weights to use…

Also, I love the app. It has helped me stay on track recording how heavy I am lifting.
-
I completely understand. But the girls on that facebook group are phenomenal. They will steer you in the right direction for your goals. And depending on your workouts (which you don't have to, but I recommend lifting heavy because it will give you definition, and at your weight, you can weigh the same but be way smaller…

Ah yes, I will modify what I wrote by saying that the only exception I would say is the post workout intake. I really like to have my protein shake after workouts.
-
I started it 6 weeks ago and I thought I was lifting heavy before. This has opened my eyes. It is a great program with which I am hitting PRs and getting stronger and already seeing physical results!
-
Timing is of no issue. All that matters is how many calories you consume total. You can eat every 20 minutes or one giant meal a day.
-
Ok, couple things. Number 1, are you on fb? If so, join a group called IIFYM women. They will calculate numbers for you that will be accurate. There are two admins there who are great and who can assist you. Number 2, those fats are way too low. You are actually at a great weight already, what are your workouts like?

My WHY started out as anger. I had let myself get to a point where I was looking for affirmation that I was attractive in some way from anywhere, even outside my marriage. Even though my husband told me all the time I was beautiful, I never believed it, because I never had ever felt like I was. I didn't love myself…

ugh I work in a school and the same thing has happened to me. It irritates me so much that I have used containers that say breast milk on them (and aren't see through) so people generally leave them alone. But now I keep a fridge in my classroom. At least now I can keep my gallon of water cold all day!

Lift heavy. I started lifting and that made a huge difference in my body, I'm talking squats, lunges, deadlifts, etc. compound lifts, as with a program like stronglifts 5x5. You cannot target train and lose fat in just one area, but you can alter how your body holds the fat.

I was about your size last year, with the same calorie intake, same problem. I increased my calories and started lifting heavier. I lost 10 more pounds and went from size 16 to 10 in 5 months. Now I'm stuck again, so I don't know if I should increase my calories. But I have just started paying attention to my macros rather…

came here looking for the same thing! I need numbers to be exact and it's not happening.
-
I have it, too, and while I am sure it will never go away, I know that deadlifts and squats and lunges have helped a lot.
-
What I try to remember is that I am sure to be the example for someone else at the gym, if I am there. I am not perfect, far from it, and I struggle while I am there in my workout and worry sometimes people are shaking their heads at me for being not totally muscular but still lifting weights or if they think my form is…

Thank you so much for your compliment! My profile pic is older...from 6 months ago! I should update it. I really may need to see another doctor. I just keep thinking, nah, it's going to show up tomorrow. I shouldn't worry so much. I think it did start out as stress as I had a very stressful thing happen in November, but…

I have a period missing since November. I was eating 1400 cals/day and doing lifting with minimal cardio. I asked my doc, and the doc said cut back on exercise. Over the holidays I didn't exercise as much, and resumed normal activity the 1st week of January, with an increase of calories to 1800/day. Still waiting on my…

NLA for her protein shake with a banana and almond milk 1 slice of Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin toast and 1/2 c egg white. On the weekends, I have 2 slices of that toast with The peanut butter Co Cinnamon Raisin Peanut butter and a banana sliced on top of that with some honey. I love breakfast!

Yes! I've been seriously lifting for about 6 months and the changes are insane. I'm fitter now than I have been in my entire adult life (at 36) and have dropped two pant sizes in the last 3 months alone. I love all my muscle, and I love what I can eat! When people ask me what I have done to change my body so drastically in…

It was my birthday, too! I, however, went over! With two pieces of Paula Deen's Ooey gooey butter cake and ice cream and hamburgers and hotdogs, well, it was just one day ....

Just letting you know, it doesn't really mean that the scale will go up. I'm not a therapist, but maybe try having no scale, and maybe measure with a tape measure. If this is still an issue, look into therapy again, there has to be a way to get therapy on sliding scale income. I have had friends in my state who have found…

You won't look bulky if you gain weight via muscle. You'll become lean and decrease body fat percentage, and you will see the difference in the mirror within 4 weeks. I did, anyway!
-
You're strength training! Measure yourself!

I don't log my water but I drink a gallon a day. I started that about 3 weeks ago and had positive results right away. For food prep, I also started this last week. I did my lunch and dinners for the week one night. I made brown rice, broccoli, and chicken breasts. I divided it up by first putting into the Tupperware 4 oz…

Just chiming in to say I have had similar results. In the last 3 weeks of eating TDEE -20% (around 1700 cals for me) I have lost 5lbs. I feel way better, and this is after a 2 month plateau on 1200 cals. It has made a world of difference.
