Oh I love those stories! My fave is: You hear your mom calling you into the kitchen. As you are heading down the stairs you hear a whisper from the closet saying "Don't go down there honey, I heard it too."

They use an artificial sweetener that is many times as sweet as sugar, which means they only have to use a fraction of it to get the same sweetness, which eliminates the calories. No harm in diet soda unless you personally have a bad reaction to artificial sweeteners. Also, since sodas are 99% water, they are hydrating.

Yeah, but, like, you totally didn't address WHY someone would fill the cup until it overflowed. Until we nail that, we'll live in water-drenched anarchy.

It. Isn't. A. Disorder. What is more probable: that most of the world has a metabolic disorder that causes them to be overweight that has somehow just sprung up in the last few decades; or that people in have better access to food that is more calorie dense and cheaper, and that technology has lessened the requirement that…

I feel like this should be rule #1 everywhere, because clearly people are confused these days.
-
Are we really back to the 'everyone who is overweight has a physical or mental disorder' argument?
-
Did your research involve looking at peer reviewed studies, or just youtube videos? Because from what I have read, there is not weight loss or health benefit to keto over other ways of eating in people without medical conditions. Also, I'm glad you like it but at 3 weeks in you can hardly speak to your adherence or…

So many red flags in this post. OP, I hope you are under the care of professionals who can help you.

So you're going to starve yourself for 15 days? Yeah, you won't get any support for that in these forums, and it's against the community guidelines to promote dangerous diet practices like this.
-
Do you have a question? What are you trying to help people with?
-
Are you really saying that there is some global conspiracy between all doctors everywhere and Big Food to make everyone sick on carbs? And are you then saying that there is no monetary gain for companies promoting their keto products? I bet Big Avocado is making a killing.

Why is it always all donuts all the time vs. a balanced meal with keto people? Who are these people eating just Krispy Kreme every day? And, if I'm hitting all of my nutrition goals, what's wrong with me having a donut? How will a donut negatively impact my health if I am meeting all of my macro and micro nutrient goals?

You're not going for the Ed Grimley?

You should consider not offering useless advice. No offense. OP, how's it going today?

What about non-alcoholic beer and wine? It would give you the taste without the booze to help you cut back. I know a few people who have done this when they wanted to lessen their alcohol intake but still wanted the feeling of having a beer in their hand.

When I measure, I do so at my natural waist (where it is most concave)

Rice, beans, lentils, frozen vegetables and meats, canned goods, etc. all have a very long shelf/freezer life and are inexpensive to buy in bulk.

You are jealous that they only get to eat 1200 calories while you can eat 1800? Why?
-
Hi there! You won't get any support here for this dangerous starvation diet, and it's against the community guidelines to promote it.

Or she could lose the weight she wants to lose to get back the body that she prefers.
-
So you don't currently track your intake or your weight? What does MFP give you for a goal, and what did you put in for your stats?
-
Sure, but that has nothing to do with 'detoxing'.
-
Yes to your first two sentences. No to the rest of your post.

Over consumption of anything is bad. The occasional 'high sugar' treat is perfectly fine in a balanced diet. And if you have no medical reason to do so, there's no reason you need to watch your sugar. I track fiber instead.

I especially like the last paragraph: Also, while 10% effectiveness is not the best, it is certainly better than zero.

Can you explain the joke to me?
