Okay, here's what I've gathered from this thread. I'm going to try all of these suggestions: 1. foam rolling 2. IT Band stretches 3. Adductor stretches 4. Hamstring stretches 5. Glut stretches 6. Hip reflexor/stretches 7. Forefoot landing Thanks, all. I can't wait to try it.

This may be the time to do it since I'm already taking ibuprofen for a muscle injury. Thanks!
-
Very helpful, thank you.

You did it cold turkey?

I'm no longer interested in the crashes, dehydration, and anxiety.

Absolutely amazing. Great work!!

Carrots - CHECK! I found one on allrecipes.com. There are a few on there, I'm using this one: http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/ambrosia-fruit-salad/Detail.aspx Though the comments suggest cutting the spices in half. I'm going to do that.

Nice call, Stephanie. That particular workout I started with may still be too difficult for a beginner. Make sure you test the waters before diving in.

You're right, Tropical Kitty. Even though it's whole grain/whole wheat bread, it's still processed. I've found the fiber in an apple or other natural source keeps the hunger away far longer than bread.
-
Whoa. Glad to hear I'm not insane. I think I'm going to finish off this loaf and go back to being breadless. Thanks for the pita suggestion, too!

This has been the most difficult hurdle for me - even more difficult than losing 40 lbs. I'd suggest preparing your own food more often. Don't add salt to items that you know will already contain something with a lot of sodium. For example, I don't usually add salt when I cook rice because I know I'm going to combine it…

I went ahead and edited previous entries. Thanks, auntiebabs. Thanks, everyone else!

You are wrong, LeeKetty. After drinking coffee, it is recommended that you drink more water as caffeine dehydrates you.

Fruit with Greek yogurt - I like to add banana slices and/or blueberries to one cup of Fage nonfat Greek yogurt. Low cal pancakes - There are a ton of recipes out there for low calorie pancakes. Instead of syrup, I add fruit or 1-2 tbsp of peanut butter. I sometimes use white or dark chocolate peanut butter from Peanut…

Blakeym, you're right I forgot to mention exercise - I normally hike 3-4 times per week, but I've been injured so I haven't done much in the last few weeks. I'm chomping at the bit though!!
-
Good question! I really just pull the peel about 2/3 of the way down and do my best to spread the peanut butter onto the banana using a teaspoon. It's never perfectly spread over the entire banana, but it really does taste amazing. Would you like to make it even more amazing? Try using white chocolate or dark chocolate…

What I consider exercise is any measurable amount of time in which your heart rate elevates beyond your standard every day heart rate, so I would definitely consider sex an exercise...I just wouldn't recommend wearing a heart rate monitor or updating your My Fitness Pal diary until afterward.
-
This sounds amazing. I think I'll give it a shot this weekend. Thanks for the recipe!

I'm told a heart rate monitor is the way to accurately calculate calories burned.
