Before, January 2014 about 78kg (I'd been holding at 75kg, let it slip hence the "sad face") Now, January 2105, about 76kg (That's a "happy face, honest)

I am merely a man, but I am pretty sure that what made the biggest difference for me WILL work for you. I stopped snacking on chocolate biscuits during break times at work. I changed my perspective to stop seeing them as some sort of treat. Doing this day in day out meant I was eating fewer calories than before (creating a…

It's the wrist HR monitors that are the problem there - generally chest straps are more accurate, not less.

That's about it.

When I saw the Blaze I thought it was the watch I've been waiting for. I've dithered between the Surge and Vivoactive for ages without really making up my mind. But the Blaze has had a bit of a drubbing in the press so now I'm not so sure!

Well I was greeted by THIS today - maybe you could wait until they're off the tractor first, mate?

Just imagine taking the path where in a year you feel overweight, unfit and you're lying back on the sofa saying "Oh, I just didn't feel motivated." "Future you" will thank "today you" for avoiding that path!

This one hasn't let me down yet. Set a reasonable goal then stick to the plan - especially the speed / tempo runs, even when you don't want to! http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/racing/runners-world-smartcoach/3057.html

Rules for the gym are no different to rules for life. Share, be nice and polite, be clean, respect others. No grunting.

I knew we had a bad reputation for some of our food, but I didn't know visitors feared being force fed sausages! Just make your usual choices, Scotland has salads too :)

Biryani; no sauce, or at least it comes in a separate dish so you can take it easy.

During the 2012 Paralympics I constantly blown away by how strong and fit people could become despite a range of disabilities. It certainly puts my excuses for missing exercise into perspective...

I can HIGHLY recommend this planning tool - tweak it until it suits your experience and intentions, then STICK TO IT. Good luck! http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/racing/runners-world-smartcoach/3057.html
