I use it to for making popcorn.

The questions is not when are you going to stop, but who is going to stop you.

Thank you for sharing such an incredibly inspiring story. Congratulation on a fantastic accomplishment and best wishes for your continued success.

Congratulations! Keep up the fine work!

Fantastic! Congratulations!

Basically the same as others have said. Logged everything. Weighed the portions. Walking. C25k. I didn't set my original 'goal' to lose 100 pounds instead I did increments which I found less daunting. The first goal was 65 pounds. Then another 25 pounds. Then 15 pounds. And so on. It took 240 days to make it past the 100…

Enjoy your success! I know and appreciate that feeling of 'these won't fit'. A year ago I was wearing 42 waist (and sometimes a 44). Today I have on a pair of 31. Depending on the brand and the cut I go from a 30 to a 32 and every time I think there's no way.

I'll second the water theory. The numbers on the scale are just a small part of the overall equation. Keep up the great work.

Congratulations on your phenomenal success! I guess 40 really is the new 20.

The only thing I would add to what everyone else has suggested would be to put the liquids in your checked luggage in large Ziplock bags as an extra precaution. That way even if something leaks, it will be contained. Enjoy your trip!

*This* Think of it this way. If the old you (or anyone of us) who used to eat that type of stuff to excess everyday had one day of clean eating, it wouldn't make a difference. Same thing here. Stand up, brush yourself off and concentrate on tomorrow.

Congratulations my friend. Your hard work and dedication have paid off many times over. As for the marathon, the way you've been training I wonder what you'll do with the rest of your day.

Congratulations! A wonderful accomplishment and this is indeed a case where a picture is worth a thousand words.

First, congratulations on your success and my best wishes for it to continue. You have changed, nay taken charge of, your life so I have no doubt that you will continue to achieve all that you set out to do. Second, great work documenting what has worked for you. It is great advice that I believe will work for most people…

^^This^^ I didn't do that with my first chest strap but I do with its replacement.

I have never been a runner but I started C25k in October 2012 (70 pounds heavier than I am now) and completed it in December. Ran a 5k March 17 of this year, two weeks after my 51st birthday. This short legged-overweight-semi-old guy didn't drop dead or even have a heart attack. If you enjoy it and want to do it,…

Go and have fun. I'm in Albuquerque which also has a high altitude. It isn't bad if you pace yourself and once you get used to it imagine how you'll feel running somewhere like San Diego.

Mostly in a slow cooker with garlic and Mrs. Dash then shred it. Or grilled on the barbeque.

It can be done but check with your doctor.

Change your goal (for now). Make it say, 250. Change it so your ticker shows 250 is your goal. Heck, that only a little over 50 pounds and you've already lost 10. You're practically there. Once you get there (and you will before you know it) set a new goal of say 225. Shoot, only 25 pounds? No sweat. Make these your goals,…

The couch to 5k (C25k) is a good program that will get you started. After that, slowly add distance and your pace will increase. As long as you are enjoying yourself stick with it. As for "bad" weather, as others have pointed out it is a relative thing. Dress appropriately, be careful and have fun. One the most memorable…

I think it works very well. Start with what you can comfortably do and slowly add distance and increase your pace. It is an exercise that you can do everyday of the week. That's how I started. After a couple of months, look into the C25k program to begin jogging/running.

A magic pill. Seriously you have to be selfish and put yourself first. If you are not changing for yourself you will not stick with it. It isn't about looking good for a significant other or because your doctor told you to; they will not be there at 11 o'clock at night as you contemplate having a big bowl of Chunky Monkey.…

I log everyday (that I'm not out of town) downs and ups. I also keep track of my daily weight on a spreadsheet and graph that.

I found PB2 at my local grocer in their health food section. It is a subsidiary of Kroger.

First, congratulations on what you've accomplished so far. Remember that you are doing this for YOU not for anyone else. As others have said, the comments may be backhand compliments or reflections at their own lack of trying. Just keep doing what is best for you and who knows, you may inspire someone to have the courage…
