  • one trick I learned that caused some good relief when I had an issue was freezing a water bottle and rolling my foot on it periodically. It not only provided for icing of the foot but also helped loosen things up!

  • was it mostly women who posted that? while I've used tissues to blow my nose or to wipe my glasses dry prior to contacts, I've had more than 1 situation where there was absolutely no toilet paper in the porta johns during a race and the tissue was a lifesaver... But my husband would never pack 1-2... :smile:

  • I've been told the same thing on flip flops (especially after having foot issues myself). if you want open shoes/sandles - I've been ok using sport sandles instead of flip flops since they do have added cushioning and support or flat sandles with ankle straps to avoid the slapping on the bottom of the feet.
  • In S this year - have walked it many times but this is the first I'm running this one! it's a pretty flat course (especially compared to Carmel, which I did last week and Geist)! great entertainment along the way and going around the track is awesome!

  • I use the nike plus app, which I've liked so far - it cost about $5.00. From what I've seen most of what it does is very similar to runkeeper (but I just looked at runkeeper and you can manually enter workouts there). the weakness of Nike Plus is that you cannot enter something manually.
