Getting back on track with my logging. Have had an unbelievably busy summer...gained 9 pounds, but now I've made the move to get it off again and start exercising and logging regularly.

Running is no longer an option, now that I'd like to...bad knees, both replaced. Now, I love to walk, swim, and bike! I'm probably best at biking and am turning my attention that way. Am setting my sights on joining the "young bucks" in our church that go out regularly...fast.

I've done a few things. Egg Beaters (or equiv) with 2 pieces of turkey bacon...or oatmeal w/ raisins...or 1 large pancake with Smuckers lo cal syrup...all with coffee.

I do know that as you approach your goal weight, the weight comes off slower. I'm in that area now. My suggestion would be as some of the others...drop your calorie intake by at least a couple of hundred...at least to start.

I've had this before...when I lost far more than I figured. I waited until the next day and re-weighed for a corrected weight. Don't know why this happens, but I always figure that when something seems too good to be true...double check.

Time to re-focus...that and pass the word that if they persist in bringing things that make your weight loss more difficult, to put it out of your sight...or it goes into the trash. When I went for a physical, I asked my doctor, and he put me around 180-210. I'm at 204 now, so I'm going to shoot for 180.

Lots of stuff out there...fruits, veggies, yogurt...there are also 100 cal. packages of munchies that I go to if I need something sweeter...things like ( Brookside ) dark chocolate pomegranate, or Skinny Cow heavenly crisp....

Fast foods are for the most part...NOT good for you. If you eat there, you have to be careful, but it can be done. For me, fries are completely OUT. After a bit, you learn how to adjust. Any time I go out, I drink water for instance. If I know I'm going fast food, I check nutrition out before, so I know what I can afford…

Log in daily, if possible...and get a few friends that will encourage you and also give you ideas...if you need them. By staying on track, this site has done wonders for me...and my friends have helped every step of the way!

Rude behavior is NEVER acceptable! I'm getting close to 60 lbs lost, and people really didn't start noticing until I lost about 30 lbs. Part of the reason, I think, is because people don't want to say the wrong thing...like asking a woman if she's pregnant. You've got to ignor those who are rude and just go on...eventually…

I agree...SWIMMING!! Right now, I'm dealing with spinal stenosis...so this helps me out a lot. Right now, I swim 3X a week and do 7 laps per morning...my results show how well it works!
