  • You look awesome and you have done a fabulous job! I wouldn't worry about "weight" now that you're close to your healthy weight. I'm always a little around the top of my "healthy weight". If you really want to lose more or tone, start lifting weights; if you already lift, change your routine and/or try heavier weights less…
  • Sometimes I eat 1 cup fat free cottage cheese mixed with 1/2 cup mandarin oranges. Together, this has 250 calories, 0 fat, 35 grams carbs & 28 grams protein. Another choice for breakfast is a healthy made Oatmeal Raisin muffin (about 115 calories) with 5 scrambled egg whites (about 85 calories). I always try to stay at…
  • That is awesome! Great job!!!
  • Welcome to MFP!!! I've been dieting for about 15 years also but have never been able to lose those 15-20 lbs ... until now!!! I know you can do it! It's almost impossiblet to get "your" time in with kiddos but it's so important; they need a healthy, happy and confident mom! Good luck!
  • You can do it! The first week is the hardest but push through and you'll love the results!!! Good Luck!
  • Chicken or shrimp fajitas ... no tortillas
  • You can friend me! I'm 32, female and from Kentucky, USA. I just finished the 8 week GSP Rushfit program, lost 8 lbs and a dress size! My only goal this year was to tone my arms and ended up toning everything. I don't want to hide this summer either ... Good luck!!!
  • Oh I feel your pain! I've had my braces for 18 months! The week after adjustments I take ibuprofen and eat eggs (or egg whites), cottage cheese, beans, protein shakes/smoothies, soft fruits, fish, rice and sweet potatoes. Your teeth should feel better in less than a week.
  • I have the same sweet tooth problem! I'll let myself eat sweets 1 day a week but stay to a strict diet and under calories the rest of the week.
  • It took me about 3 weeks before I started losing. Keep at it!!!! Gauge by how you feel and your clothes fit, not by the scale alone.
  • Congrats on coming back! Plan your meals out for each day and stick to it. Same thing with exercising. (no emotional eating or skipping your exercise) After the first week, you'll feel better, your clothes will feel better and should give you enough motivation to keep going. Good luck - the first week is ALWAYS the hardest!
  • Thanks for the article - I haven't read it yet but intend to. I've heard the same ... your body is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. Great point!
