Yep count them because fruit in particular can carry a lot of calories - an apple's not far off 100. I find veges don't carry many but if you're trying to stick to your target and you eat several veges a day, they can tip you over your goal.

No it's a good point I think. Being English our footballers are a bit of an embarassment, more interested in bed-hopping, arguing and scandal than football or good sportsmanship. In spite of the astronomical salaries they get, we haven't won a Word Cup since 1966. Meanwhile we've had the Olympics and Paralympics and seen…

Yes, and ditch all religion.

I think it's the suit - maybe they see you as some kind of daddy bank??

Hi I'm British and my diary is open but I doubt it will float your boat. Chimichanga I believe is Mexican and probably exists in Wales somewhere in a Mexican restaurant. Good luck with MFP.

Hi and thanks for your answers. The cup is not such a mystery now.

It's true - you can go from fat to thin, but they will always be jerks. In the W. C. Fields film from the 1930s, “It’s a Gift”, a character who doesn't like Fields says “You’re drunk!” to which he replies: "Yeah, and you’re crazy, n’ I’ll be sober tomorrow n’ you’ll be crazy for the rest of your life." The jerks can be the…

Hi. I feel for you. I'm a recovering alcoholic with two friends dead from alcohol and another on the way. I'm sorry but you can't deal rationally with your brother. He has to want to give up on his own accord. No amount of any intervention will make an alcoholic give up drink if they don't want to. You say in your profile…

I drink Alpro soya milk all the time. It comes in unsweetened and low-fat forms and in new flavours like hazelnut, almond and vanilla. There's also Provamel soya milk and rice milk. If you want it in tea and coffee, avoid the sweetened types which make the coffee curdle.

No time to post his photo - but I've just finished watching the Paralympics and think that Oscar Pistorius is hot to trot - and he goes a lot faster than trotting. Certainly, my view on the disabled has changed a lot.

Lady Gaga's Edge of Glory. In 2011 I had Viva Las Vegas stuck  in my head all year....

Yes - unless you're in a very hot climate where everyone walks around with bare legs, or you have smooth, tanned, gleaming, completely hair-free legs that could secure you the job on their own. Any stubble, bumps and bruises - best to cover up.

Hi. Sorry, I haven't a clue what an insanity video is, but does it involve dancing wildly about the place for extended periods of time? If so, I would log it as something like squash, which burns over 500 cals for 40 mins. I play hard games of squash and am dripping with sweat after and can hardly breathe. If you feel like…

Thanks for all the comments about demon drink. Tonight will be my fourth night without a drink (or cigarette), so now it's possible to make 1,200 calories a day without almost half of them coming from wine.:drinker:
-
That's great. Did you run constantly for 66mins? Have you thought about entering the London marathon? You should be very proud of yourself.
-
trying...

1,200 calories is what I'm supposed to be on according to MFP to lose 2lb a week. Seems fine to me, particularly as I'm only small. Plus if I play squash I get about another 500 calories to play around with. Think your body will tell you if it's starving. Good luck.

Hi all I'm 5'2 and my target for middle of November is 112; currently 142. I'm here if anyone needs me.

Ha ha. This is the birthday card stuck on my fridge - picture a man running along in an orange sports vest looking ecstatic: 'After a month of jogging ten miles a day, Phil was feeling terrific. The only problem was he was 300 miles from home.'

Houmous with carrot sticks is handy for lunch and easy to prepare. Wraps have less calories than bread and are easy to fill with salad and avocado. I make a vat of homemade soup (no cream, no oil) and take it into work in a tub. Love spicy food, so also make large amounts of chilli with Quorn mince and curries with Greek…

In the morning naked (need all the help I can get) and before even a cup of coffee - preferably after a large dump too.

Wow - how long did it take you to get that out? I quite like the way the writing is all nicely spaced out and the spelling is very good, especially considering how long it is. No offence my dear, but you don't look like you can spell that well in your photo.
-
I'd ask him to go on with the rest of your friends without you and you'll catch him up - tailgate the tailgate:happy: . Then you can show off your new hairdo.

I remembered to put the rubbish out for recycling.... no longer have the reminder of all those bottles of wine I've drunk:happy:

Yes, sorry to drone on, but it's a product that comes from a normally beautiful bird that sits in a cage all its life and must be alive when the liver explodes to ensure the freshness of the product. The whims around human consumption never fail to disappoint and depress me. Sorry, it mortifies me.

Thanks Squible I saw the one with the pies - the pies were amazing at about 300 cals. The curry and the chinese they did and got locals to compare them to their takeaway versions were also great. Very impressed with the bikers - they're doing a grand job.
-
Hi - I guess you're talking about the current programme where they're trying to lose weight. Haven't seen the book but I thought all the recipes were online if you Google the programme Hairy Bikers? Are Hairy Dieters different than Hairy Bikers?

The alarm clock:yawn: My cat also brings dead mice in - only sometimes they're not dead....

Hi. I use the app on my phone if I'm on public transport. I work every day like you, and what I normally do is log the food at lunchtime at my computer. If I'm organised enough to know what I'm eating that evening, I'll log that too. I don't find it's the food logging that takes the time. I get wrapped up in the forum and…
