It's not too bad, actually. I have some batwings under my arms, but I don't think my stomach is too bad. The worst is my neck. I have a turkey neck now. A facelift is definitely in my future! I think most of this is genetic. My great aunts all had the flabby under arms, and turkey necks too. It's still better than being…

I'm a lowER carb person. I aim for around 90 g per day. I try not to eat more than one serving of white food each day (half a bagel; slice of bread; etc.) I also refuse to give up fruit, but limit it to one serving per day, and try to stick with berries, which are lower in carbs than most other fruits. Good luck!

No one said anything to me until I was down more than 50 pounds! I realized that people are afraid of offending you, as other have said. I'm sure people have noticed. You're doing great!!

This is not hard. I drink every week and have lost weight every week for almost a year. Just work it into your calories. Do NOT drink so much that you get the munchies.

I lost weight without exercising for a long time. It's not necessary to exercise to lose weight, but it does help burn calories and is obviously good for your health. I began by going twice a week and doing cardio only. I slowly increased my frequency to 3x/week then 4. Then I added strength training, and started taking…

I gave up Chipotle and don't miss it. Not worth it to me for room temperature food. Why can't they keep it hot????

Congrats on getting started! I'm a mom of 2, work full time, have 3 dogs and life is definitely hectic most of the time. I've lost over 70 pounds so far and have another 10 to go. You can do this!!

Yes. I still drink, but basically tell myself the kitchen is closed after dinner. Otherwise I snack on crap all night long when I drink.

I have PCOS and have lost 72 pounds in about 10 months - 10 pounds to goal! I'm eating lower carb, high protein and lower sugar. It feels sustainable and I feel great. Good luck to you!

Emotions and stress.

I never thought to use it as coffee creamer! What a great idea! I always just drank them from the little box, straight from the fridge.

I can't bring myself to buy it. I generally don't like lowfat versions of foods. I'd rather eat less of the real thing. The flavors all sound so good though!

I don't incorporate cheat days, they just happen. I'm not perfect. Sometimes I want ALL the cookies. It's fine. Just get back on track the next day. As long as you are consistent 90% of the time (or even 80%) you will see success. Honestly, sometimes after I overeat is when I see a whoosh on the scale. It happened this…

As many as it takes. I probably first joined MFP more than ten years ago, and never lost a significant amount of weight until this year. I don't even know why, but something just clicked this time and I've lost 65 pounds - with about 20 more to go. If I have a bad day, I tell myself that no matter how many Oreos I just ate…

Chicken with broccoli or Beef with broccoli. Also, hot and sour soup. Skip the rice.

It sounds like many people only take it for a month and then go back to old habits. The medication is a tool, not a magic potion. I took it for a long time, learned the habits of measuring/weighing my food, making healthier choices, and working out 5-6 times per week. I've lost a lot of weight and intend to keep it off by…

Whenever possible, yes. I make sure my hotel has a fitness center and use it daily. I know I'm likely to go over my calorie/macro limits while on vacay, so at least if I work out I feel like I'm off-setting that a bit.

Weight matters and if you don't want to be overweight, due to fear of a heart attack or whatever, you need to either cut back on how much you eat, OR change the type of foods that you eat. You could probably lose weight eating burgers and fries, but you won't necessarily be that much healthier. I eat healthy about 85% of…

Oikos triple zero Greek yogurt. Coffee with splenda and skim milk. One serving of fruit. Usually berries.

I remember carob in trail mix in the '70s. So awful. I also tried cauliflower rice and zoodles. No thank you! I'm down 65 pounds eating real foods, including rice and (sometimes) pasta. I love my veggies, don't get me wrong, but also appreciate food as should be, not when it's pretending to be something it's not.
-
NO! I knew I was fat, as does every other overweight person who exists.

My daughter is the same as yours. I try not to make a big deal out of it, but encourage her to have a fruit or veggie with every meal. We cook together, which she loves, and she is always willing to eat what we cook so I try to choose healthy meals. I also let her pack her own lunch. Left on her own, she'd eat hot dogs,…

I've lost 62 pounds in about 7 months and have another 20 to go. I'm on a doctor-supervised plan and take metformin. It's made all the difference in the world. I'm 47 years old. I eat lower carb and high protein. I work out 5-6 days/week.

Do you mean just cream for your coffee? Just use skim milk. Whipping cream is just for whipped cream, right? I used to work at Starbucks and we had heavy cream for whipped cream, then for creamers: regular milk, skim milk, and regular cream.

What a gorgeous couple!!! Congrats on the weight loss!
-
Yes. Definitely possible.

How low carb are you going? I tried Atkins once and was completely miserable. Not for me. My body rebelled, and there was no way I could live that way forever. I've since gone to a 'lower carb', higher protein diet. I keep my carbs under 100/day and aim for 90g+ of protein. It works. I'm down 55 pounds, and don't feel…

I was diagnosed with PCOS after my first miscarriage. I went to a reproductive endocrinologist and had two successful pregnancies (using femara). I only gained 15 pounds in each pregnancy. Unfortunately, I gained a lot of weight after they were born. Losing now with the help of metformin.
