Don't go to Chipotle tonight. It's gonna get you sick. [/quote] Oh but Chipotle is soooo worth it ;)

judychicken- I'm no dietician, but if you're counting your wine calories in your total and it fits within your calorie allotment, then by all means, enjoy your wine by the pool!

This is one of my faves too!

I don't have my workout plan down to a specific schedule yet, but over the next 16 weeks, I will increase my running endurance (because I really really want to run a marathon in July), and add 3 days of strength training in.
-
16 weeks from now, hopefully I will have said good bye to about 30 lbs, fit in to my cute jeans, and feel strong enough to run higher, longer, and faster! That's my goal!

Judy - this sounds delicious and a good alternative to my Taco Tuesday nemesis here at work!

I can already tell this is a great group! Day 1 - good luck everyone and happy early Birthday Jeff!

Yep: put the treadmill on an incline and GO! Do NOT hold on to the bars on the side or in front of you. Use your arms for momentum of you want, but don't hold on, this will increase your calorie burn 10-fold, if not more. I know you said you're not a runner, but why not try to increase the speed to 5.1 mph some time and…

Making breakfast for her husband isn't forcing food on him. People are funny! How about steel cut oats, topped with whatever deliciousness you choose?

That is a highly subjective question you are asking. Under 2 hours may be fast for some, and 1:56 may be slow for others. I say do your best and try to PR each time you run that distance. With that said, I wish I could run a sub 2-hr half!

It could be something as simple as tying the laces too tightly or tying them wrong. Google different ways to lace running shoes and you'll see what I mean.

Hi Chuck! You just took the first step to life of good health! If and when you get discouraged, just remember we are all in this together! Sorry to hear about your Dad. I'm sure your daughter will be thankful you've decided to take control of your health someday when she's old enough to understand. Best of luck!!

That's helpful - thank you!!

Thanks! I guess I need to be more clever in how I pack my lunch and dinner. I don't want to keep resorting to the cafeteria, which is how I have gained weight in the first place.

5'10.5". Feel free to add me!!

At least you already know you have will power and the ability to drop the lbs. You got this!!

Clever ^

You're not the only one. I have a friend who did that once. Haha
-
Good luck! I tried it once and failed miserably, then I had a salad.

I love your post. I don't see any excuses, just positive energy! LOVE IT!!!

Hi! I'm excited to be part of this challenge and to make new friends here too! A little about me, I am a Colorado native and an Operating Room RN. I moved to Steamboat Springs from Denver almost one year ago because I grew near here and I've longed to be back in the mountains! I was on auto pilot and 'stuck' with my…
