I use my juicer to make fresh veggies juice a few mornings/week. It is my crack. I think it's a good way to get your daily recommendation of vitamins and minerals in. I did a 3-day juice fast once...it was difficult for me because I am a coffee drinker, but by the 3rd day I felt amazzzzzing and my skin was baby soft and…

Vegetables dipped in hummus, cashews, almonds, yogurt, string cheese....

Yeah..I broke up with my scale last week. It wasn't giving me what I wanted, so.... Kidding aside, I put it away and probably won't weigh myself again for at least a few weeks. It stresses me out too much and we all know what stress can do. I decided to not be too scientific in my approach to getting back in to shape and…

Bruhaha007 - hopefully you didn't catch anyone's bad germs! AlexCarr07 - congratulations! You're inspiring me! Instead of saying this is where things go wrong, just change your mindset and KNOW that won't happen! We're here for ya!

This literally made me LOL!

I don't have the answer to your question, I just want to say I'm totally jealous you had dinner at PF Chang's! It's Heavenly..

I used to do that too. If I start getting tired and winded, I will really slow down to an extremely slow jog until I catch my breath. Also, I focus on different body parts to propel me forward...calves, glutes, arms, etc..

1. Get fitted for good running shoes. 2. Don't make it too difficult at first so you don't burn out or get injured. 3. Focus on breathing. 4. Stay hydrated. 5. Keep your upper body relaxed. 6. Stretch after your runs. 7. Enjoy the post-run endorphins feelings!

I love this! So the short version? 1. Put scale away. 2. Exercise. 3. Eat less. Congratulations - you're a rock star and you look amazing!

Would you rather live with these irrational fears, or with regret? You get to choose..

Thanks everyone!!

Crossing a couple of very important finish lines...literally and symbolically..

I'm 43, so add me! Hey, that rhymed!

I think you could answer your own question. Have you ever regretted going to the gym? Have a great workout :)

Congratulations! I love to hear food-as-medicine success stories!

Predator - organic red Zin. Just look for the ladybug on the bottle. It's delicious (the wine, not the ladybug ;)

Forgive me for being a little sappy here..3 years ago today was a Friday night and I broke up with a guy I totally loved. It had to happen, but since then I've let myself go completely. I figure 3 years is long enough to put myself through this and today is a good day to get totally serious about turning it back around.…

I use a Spibelt for keys, ID, and phone. The key is to put the belt around your hips, and not your waist, as you won't even know it's there! For longer runs when I need hydration I have a handheld water bottle with a pocket. Nathan makes great lightweight gear.

I was at my Mom's house a few days ago and she made me a 'sundae': vanilla yogurt, sliced bananas, slivered almonds, and coconut flakes. Delicious!

1. Yes! Still participating and I plan on staying :) 2. Learned that counting calories backfires for me. I'm better if I don't think too much about it. I'd rather have delicious nutritious food and enjoy it, rather than hating it because I have to log it. I don't expect everyone to think the same way I do about it.. 3.…

Thank you for the reminder about the pesto. Their pesto is to die for and I'm going today!

I don't think this would have been an issue had she not used the 'f' word in the original post. Take that word out and reread it. Have a good weekend everyone :)

Is the weather warm enough where you live to get outdoors? I'm in Colorado, so it's easy for me to suggest things outside! Do you have hiking trails? Do you own a bike? Drive somewhere new and explore on foot or bike new territory perhaps. Go for a swim!

The only 'trick' I have is using my juicer. If I start to falter on nutrition, I will use my juicer first thing in the morning a few times a week. A fresh kale-spinach-cucumber-turmeric juice resets my taste buds to crave more healthy stuff. Plus it gives me the energy to do what I want to do!
