Calorie help--PF Changs

Tonight we went to PF Changs and I ordered the Chang's Spicy Chicken, which normally is lightly breaded and fried, then served in sauce. I asked if they had a lighter version, and our server said it could be prepared "steamed" instead of breaded. That's what I asked for, and when the chicken came, it was all thinly sliced white meat chicken with no breading at all, served in sauce. It was absolutely delicious, by the way--I'll order it that way from now on.

So the dish prepared in the usual way is 820 calories per serving. There is no listing in the database for a steamed version. How much would you subtract while logging? Half? One third? One quarter?

Just curious what your estimate would be. Thanks!

I imagine a lot of those calories are actually in the sauce, I might subtract 20%.

Pei Wei (the fast-casual division of PF Chang's) publishes their calorie stats with the difference between fried and steamed proteins. It takes off about 200-400 calories. Should be pretty similar.

I would have guessed minus 200 as well.

In my area, the spicy chicken is 960 calories. I usually try to overestimate in a situation like this because you really never know so I would probably deduct 150 calories.

I only had half of my portion, and even if it had been fried, I'm under my calories for the day, so it's all good. The leftovers are going to be delicious tomorrow for lunch! I appreciate everyone's help, thank you!
