Everything in moderation. I have diet coke maybe once every two weeks as a treat. Any soda is very bad for the teeth so that's why I have it so seldom, but I don't see any reason to completely give it up.

Circuit training works best for me. I used to be a runner, but I feel more toned this way and I still get the cardio in.

Before you throw the drink you have to say very loudly, "Well I never!"

I think that falls into dramatic movie slapping territory.

Brilliant post. Brilliant.

Not many years ago I began to play the cello. Most people would say that what I am doing is ``learning to play'' the cello. But these words carry into our minds the strange idea that there exists two very different processes: 1) learning to play the cello; and 2) playing the cello. They imply that I will do the first until…

From Harold and Maude... Maude: I should like to change into a sunflower most of all. They're so tall and simple. What flower would you like to be? Harold: I don't know. One of these, maybe. Maude: Why do you say that? Harold: Because they're all alike. Maude: Oooh, but they're *not*. Look. See, some are smaller, some are…

New Zealand, specifically in the Northland region. The only thing to do around where I live is go on long walks. There are nature reserves around with hiking trails. It gets pretty dull once you've hiked in the same spots all year long though. There are some cows outside in the paddocks around my house and I feed them…

I used to do the small meals thing, but one day my husband looked at me and asked, "are you ever going to eat normally again?" It was then I realized that trying to maintain that, when every single person I know and live around does the three meals a day routine, is pretty unrealistic. At least for me it is.

I do a basic pre-log of the upcoming day and try to stick by it as best I can. Usually there are some changes made the next day, but for the most part, it keeps me on track better than if I didn't pre-log at all.

Here! I do, I do! I have a very evenly distributed weight, so I look quite a lot less than I am.

A heart rate monitor will give you an accurate indication. The amount burned is generally different for everyone. You can log it on as circuit training on myfritnesspal, but I found it was really inaccurate compared to what my HRM logged.

I would like it long, but my hair is so thick it gives me migraines from the weight. I have to get it thinned, cut, and layered regularly. I like to keep it a little past my shoulders.

I thought this quote from A Clockwork Orange was appropriate... haha "It's a stinking world because there's no law and order anymore! It's a stinking world because it lets the young get on to the old, like you done. Oh, it's no world for an old man any longer. What sort of a world is it at all? Men on the moon, and men…

It really depends on the person. If you obsess over that number too much and weigh yourself 10 times a day, it's probably not a good thing. If weigh ins are something you do moderately and it encourages you to keep going, then sure, why not?
