I have literally no idea how I'll look in another 38lbs time? Being a very consistent guy who is never too up or down, I imagine I'll get there and be like wooh, celebratory cup of tea, move on. Also, as I assume I'll see my body changing day by day, I doubt when I hit that last 1lb I'll think I look any different from…

Count me in lovely people!!! :)

I'm going to seem very dim here. What exactly is a fit bit? I have a Garmin Fore Runner I use for runs and I use Strava when I'm riding. Is a Fitbit basically a pedometer? Cheers

I walk reasonably comfortably at 4.5mph. I also have probably 1000 more calories per day allowance than most on here. Being a 6ft5 Male can be very good! :)

I started at 50lbs over the top of my BMI healthy range (top end). Now I'd say I look/looked overweight, but not "obese". I run 10km's, I play soccer twice a week, I go to the gym twice a week, over the summer I regularly do 100km rides, so I'm quite "fit". Healthy however is a different question, I have a good resting…

Mine are going too! YAY!

It's on like Donkey Kong! Let's do this!!!! :)

From my experience, and I may be told I'm completely wrong, I find it's best to keep going, however slow that is. Personally I think it's better to run a whole 30 minutes non stop, even if you're just at walking pace but still doing a running motion, than to run quick for 5 minutes, stop, quick for 5 minutes, stop, etc…

I'm quite girly if that counts! Get me added! :)

Try the cross trainer/elliptical and the bikes. These are reasonably low impact.

Historically I've always needed around 8hrs minimum. But then biologically I'm almost incapable of sleeping more than 9. Even at weekends my body wants to sleep at the same time and wake at the same time as during the week. Usually about 11-7. For the last month of being healthier I'm finding I feel less tired and so…

Hey Guys! Count me in! 1,2,3,4.....

I'm in my 20's and can do a great mangina impression if that gets me accepted around here? :)
-
You've basically described me and my thoughts/situation.
-
Assuming from your post, that you believe this isn't correct. As mentioned in my heading, would be great to get your definition.
-
You've done great! :)
-
Well done fella!

Cheers both. I believe I'm basically doing what both you guys suggest, which is eat "sensibly", mostly lean meats, veg/salad, cereals, etc with the occasional couple squares of chocolate or packet of crisps. Factor this in to my calorie targets and I've dropped 10lb so far, so it's certainly working.

Cheers for the feedback guys.

Cheers for the feedback. I've double checked and definitely no change in relation to my weekly goals, height details, level of activity etc. As you say, 80 calories either way doesn't really matter and I'm usually a 200-300 below my target anyway. Thanks

Anyone?

Being a horrific pedant, you've slightly misquoted me. I said people will think they should eat a lot of salad, I don't personally say they should. I'm not nutritionist or dieticians, that's why I'm posting in the recipe section, not nutrition. Beyond advising a well balanced diet, it's not my place to say anything.…

Personally I think it's essential you're eating food you like! If not, you'll never succeed. There are a lot of good foods that taste great and can be really healthy too. For example :- Tandoori Chicken Indian spiced vegetables Flapjacks Cereal Lean Meats Yogurts Flat breads etc etc It's all about being creative with what…

Not sure what to expect, but i'm in!

It's a tough one. I think it's too often the case (since the beginning of time) that people settle in a relationship and let themselves go. I think after only 6 months, you're still well within your rights to be setting boundaries and expectations with each other. Sounds like he feels he's got the whole deal wrapped up a…

Anyone tried these yet? Any thoughts? I made a batch yesterday with Glace Cherries. Obviously bumps the calories a little but they taste superb! I'm getting a bit addicted to eating these. I think as they're a healthy option that tastes "naughty" (dense, quite sweet and a little chewy) it's almost guilt free. Prob…

Let me know how you all get on. :)

Curves, curves and curves!!! :)

Yeah, I have no problem with the food side of things. I'm hitting my target daily quite comfortably if I exercise or not. I naturally eat pretty well (5 a day) but historically have just eaten too much. But let's be honest, If I can allow myself an extra 500 calories a day from exercise then great. That makes it even…
