Get a MISTO! Best kitchen gadget I've bought in a long time. You put the oil of your choice in the canister and pump it up, then spray just like one of the store bought sprays. It can be used for salad dressings as well.

That can't be! *I* am Runner 5! ;) Season 2 is supposed to be coming soon. It will be as an update to the original version, some new missions will be no extra charge, but there will be other missions you have to pay extra for. (according to the blog) Well worth the money when you compare it to the price of a workout DVD or…

Wham! Bam! Thanks for the shattering Nerdgasm.

I should have updated this. I figured out the issue. I was running MapMyRun along with ZombiesRun. They both use GPS, so I think there was a conflict. I stopped using MapMyRun and now I get zombie chases. If you're having a problem, make sure you're not using other applications that use GPS when you do Zombies, Run. The…

Good luck, Runner 5.

I liked Divergent & Insurgent. The Delirium series by Lauren Oliver is another good read similar to Divergent. It's also YA. I plan to read Ender's Game before the movie comes out. Someone else mentioned Neil Gaiman, that's also a great choice.

Do C25K. You can do it. Go slow. Don't push too hard. Remember that running builds muscle as well as cardio endurance, so you may feel great but do not push it. I'm recovering from a stress fracture (8-12 weeks recovery) because I pushed it. Also, get properly fitted for shoes at a local running store.

taking a few deep breaths and then focusing on my breathing helps whenever I get a stitch. I hope you find what works for you.

I have eliminated dairy, beef, and pork. Those are the allergies that i tested positive for. I am eating more fruit and nuts, but I still haven't found alternatives to things I was regularly eating. I always ate a lot of chicken, so thats nothing new. This has me feeling very limited in what I eat. I need to focus more on…

My diet has been chaotic since the change. I'm still figuring out what I can eat, and some days I do not get enough calories in. I do make sure I have a higher day the day after if I have a low day. I'm getting better at this every day. I'm eating a lot of chicken and turkey, fruit, nuts, eggs, and a salad here and there;…

This happened to me for several weeks at the beginning. I found that slowly walking about 1 mile before doing my C25k workout helped get my calves loosened up enough to run. Your calves will strengthen eventually. There's no magical amount of time this "should" improve by. Everyone's fitness level is unique. Also, make…

Thanks so much for the advice and encouragement :)

same for me...I am in favor of that, however.

There's only a handful of veggies that I actually like, but I don't mind eating the same ones all the time. It's easier to say which ones I like than which ones I don't! Fav veggies: Tomato, cucumber, lettuce, potatoes, bell peppers, caramelized onions, corn (yeah I know 0 nutritional value), and green beans. I can…

bump...going dairy free due to allergies, and this will be great

At least you did it...twice over!! Sounds like you did amazingly the second time with all of those hills. My first 5k was a complete disaster!

Completed it. Loved it. I highly recommend it. If you have a smart phone or iPod touch or the like, there are free apps available to download that tell you when to run/walk. They also allow you to play your own music. Also, get properly fitted for running shoes at a local specialty running store ASAP before any problems…

It could still be hormones. Body temp actually fluctuates throughout your cycle. I sometimes get like this at certain times in my cycle: post ovulation, but before TOM.

You wear the strap underneath your clothes. I put mine on before I leave the house. You push a button on the watch to start recording your heart rate. The strap feels like a bra strap, and you don't notice it's there. The transmitter is very small, and it is not visible outside of your clothing. There really isn't a bump.…

No problems with mine. I love and trust it.
