Wow!!! What an inspiration you are! All goals aside, I think you look great, as is! I can imagine it's disheartening to keep seeing the same weight week after week. Maybe your body needs time to adjust to the change thus far? In any case, put less focus on the scale and more focus on how you feel now... in your new skin,…

I have been sneaking a "peek" daily, but to be honest, the fluctuations are a little disheartening. I decided this morning, no more daily peeks, I will only look once a week. Welcome!

Let the fun begin!!! I'm in! My goal is to lose 29, so that will take care of a chunk of it! Good luck to all!

At work... got a call from a friend in another office telling me to find a tv, that a plane had just crashed into the WTC. Our whole office left to another building to see what was going on. I remember standing there, watching the replay of the first plane hitting the WTC...all the while thinking "this must have been an…

I too workout later in the day. On days I know I will work out, I eat more calories with breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack...leaving enough for a light dinner with dessert after workout.

Maybe everyone is making it too complicated. You need to simply eat foods you LIKE within your calorie budget for the week. Forget about healthy for the moment and see what just sticking to a budget does. Then fine tune your diet with healthier choices one item at a time if you want. Well this is what worked for me: Eat…

I couldn't sleep all night a few nights ago and I went through this very thing the day after . I think it's because when we feel bad, tired or stressed, the body craves things that will help us feel better...comfort foods are an attempt to feel better. I was aware why the cravings were happening, so I made decisions to do…

There you go thinking out loud again. Fun, fun...;-) You have nothing to worry about.. I might add, they may need to add a committee to screen the ladies too. I see an awful lot here who look like the "after" stage of this process. ;-) You, however, have no worries... Did I already say that??? ;-)

I am at 1280 per day before exercise... I actually have to say that I don't feel deprived of things I like. I stick to 300 cal or under with breakfast, 400 calories at lunch about 100 calories late afternoon snack , leaving almost 500 for dinner. I think it depends on which meal you like to be your bulkiest meal... for me,…

Aggie, I was looking over your profile and you are so tiny after 18lb loss (congrats! , btw). Is it possible that you are at a healthy weight for your height/frame?

I am not a health nut from the raw standpoint. I am trying to tailor this quest to not just the temporary "diet to lose weight". I like sweets now and then, so if I am craving it, I work it into my calories for the day. I would hate to think this way of living could not include things I enjoy ... too restrictive, I would…

I love Zumba as well. By far, it is the best of the cardio choices for me (keeps the boredom at bay and keeps me challenged).. I recently decided to change things up a bit to keep my muscles from getting used to things. I have changed out 2 of the zumba classes for a 30 minute arc trainer interval workout, followed by a 20…

This happened to me several years ago. It just shed a lot more than normal and was only something I noticed. The dermatologist said that everyone goes through a "shedding cycle" about every 10 years where the hair at the end of it's life cycle. The hair grows back in following the shedding. He suggested a good multivitamin…

My exercise motto::: Run like there's nowhere to hide.... No such thing as good makeup or good hair when there is a workout involved! I sweat A LOT!!! Who cares! I'm proud, it shows that I worked hard! ;-)

I looked over your profile and what I see is a very determined, beautiful, proud wife and mother! It doesn't matter what we see, it is how you see yourself that counts. Finding acceptance for yourself (good and bad) is a step in the direction of change. You may not like where you are...but you are here... so love yourself…

I'm with them on this.. budget a serving of your favorite ice cream into your calories for the day... Being able to have the things that I love within moderation is what makes this possible for the long haul.

Go see a Dr... It could be a number of things, but it is definitely not something you should wait to find out about.

Good post. I have the same thing happen on exercise days... sometimes it's hard to eat all the calories back. I try to stay close, but if under a day or so, and over another, I don't beat myself up about it. I'm trying to remember my goal is to develop a healthy method of eating over the long haul...not to base it on just…

When you find yourself wishing your bedroom was on the first floor! Am I really having to hold on to the handrail on the way down the stairs the next morning? Really??? What am I---- 85???? ;-)

I have recently gotten back into a regular routine of working out and I am a fan of zumba, pump or any group class. It gets me out of my comfort zone, is always a great workout because I decide the effort I want to put in and it gets me around a group of people who are after similar goals. I have recently decided to change…

Going to get in a workout after work today. Movie night at home tonight with a friend. Girls night out tomorrow night. Sunday morning is church followed by my favorite .... afternoon nap and a lazy Sunday before the week begins again. Have a great weekend, everyone!

The calorie level MFP suggests in your plan based on the goals you put in should be your goal for calorie intake...even after exercise. There is a lot of back and forth on the subject on each side of the fence. MFP builds a calorie deficit into your goal so you lose even without exercise. One side of thought is if you…

God doesn't make mistakes! You are an original and are made just the way you are supposed to be! Be proud of yourself, hun, there is no one else like you. The world is full of all sorts of likes and dislikes... you can't be anything but you, and that IS MORE THAN ENOUGH!!! More importantly, his actions obviously are making…

Beautiful hair!

I love zumba! I know this sounds nuts, but you need to eat the exercise calories back... your body cannot handle the output of energy with only 1200 calories... especially a zumba class twice a day! Your body will start eating muscle to keep you going. If you exercise, you get to eat more to compensate. Food is fuel for…

They are good! Can't imagine eating two in one day!!! lol Recipe for disaster!

Great to hear you have come back! Life can be hard with it's bumps in the road. It's interesting how a thing like health is about so much more than the actual eating that creates the physical issue of weight. It sounds like you are motivated to improve your overall health and well being and I think that is great, sounds…
