Biscuits and gravy. Every time I spent the night with my Nana, I would wake up to the smell of biscuits and gravy. With it would be fried potatoes, eggs and fried apples. My mom didn't really cook and having a homemade meal was a huge treat.

"Hahahaaa - I'm actually from Virginia, but I'm all about a good Reuben. I'm also a big Rachel fan - which is more common around our neck of the woods. ;) The Rachel is a variation of the standard Reuben, substituting pastrami for the corned beef and coleslaw for the sauerkraut. It's also pretty tasty!" This is the first…

I'm in. I'm just getting back into things and walking is a great place to start!

Avocado. Lots of fiber and good fats.

I'm a fellow addict. I like to cook and I like to eat (and I'm good at both!) My addiction is southern foods. Biscuits and gravy, fried everything, mashed potatoes, cornbread, well, you get the picture. Good for you for making a lifestyle change. You're doing great by ditching the junk food, soda is a hard one to give up!

I'm 5'5. I looked fine in the 150's but I was happiest at 135.

This is my story too. Cystic acne, PCOS and eczema. I did keto to lose weight, but was happily surprised at the added benefits.

There's a lot of great advice here. I just wanted to say that week 4 was my hardest week, too. I did it 3 weeks in a row until I felt ready to move on to week 5. There's nothing wrong with repeating a week. Keep pushing, you'll get there :)

If I had a nickle for every time I heard this...

I'm currently working up to 10k with the goal of running a half next year. Love comparing notes with other runners.

It might. If you gain a few water weight lbs from strength training it most likely will. As for upping calories, here is a good post that explains why you might gain a few lbs. when you start eating maintenance- http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1071202-why-you-gain-weight-if-you-eat-more-than-your-cut
-
I'm also 5'5 and in maintenance(130 lbs). I've had great success w/ strength training. I eat 2100 cals and exercise 6 days/week. There is nothing wrong w/ eating maintenance while working on body recomposition, but be prepared for a small initial weight gain while upping your cals and/or strength training.

Feel free to look at mine. Except yesterday. Don't look at yesterday.

Does it hurt worse while running or after? Going up and down stairs? When I had pain on the outer knee it was IT band syndrome. Swimming or cycling was recommended by my osteo to keep up endurance while waiting for it to heal.

I know it sounds weird, but I don't think you're eating enough. If you plug in your stats here http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ it says you are eating way below your bmr. And I would up your protein to 1 gram per pound of lean body mass. For me thats 106g and I'm 5'5 and 130lbs so I imagine yours is much…

I lost most of my weight on a low carb high fat diet (keto). My macros are 5% carbs, 65% fat and 30% protein. I'm in maintenance now and the weight is staying off even though I've added carbs back in my diet.

Looks exactly like my grocery list. Also canned tuna for easy protein packed lunches.

I prepare most meals, rarely eating out. My diary's open.

I quit smoking (cold turkey) and started my weight loss at the same time. Many people told me it was a recipe for disaster, but I was ready for the change. Less than a year later I am still smoke-free and have hit my goal weight. If you want something bad enough you will make it happen!

I'm 5'5 and started at 185 lbs. Currently at 130 and in maintenance. I have a before and after pic on my page if you want to take a look.

I still have a small amount of of loose skin around my bikini line but it keeps getting better. I've also lost 50 lbs and had a baby. Work on your bf% percentage and strength training. Especially core work.
-
Same. I also yo-yo 2-3 lbs for awhile before losing which can be frustrating.

I'm 5'5 133 lbs Bust- 31.5 Waist -26.5 Hips -34.5

I've been on the last 10 for a few months but I've kinda lost interest in the scale. New goals are increasing running distance, lifting heavier things and hitting my macros. Also trying to lower bf%.
