Hi all! Why when I input my meals so I end up with a 100+ carbs when I am strictly following Keto- eggs and bacon, lettuce with chicken broccoli avocado, and alfredo brocoli chicken bake for dinner. I honestly don't see how I can cut anything else. 20 carbs or less, right!?

Hi Ladies! I'm at 26 weeks and have put on 16 lbs. I'm mentally preparing for the next few months as all I am reading about says this is when my little booger grows the most. Started back at the gym as I am wearing the same pants size (in maternity) but am feeling flabby in the arms and legs. Plus I hear it helps with…

Hey ladies, I'm at 25 weeks and have put on a total of 15.8 lbs... Ok, 16 lbs! I was already overweight before I got pregnant so any positive spin I can put on seeing scale turn direction is helpful. I have to keep remembering that 8-10 lbs will fall off as soon as I give birth, and I allot 1-2 lbs to bigger breasts (good…

July 27th... I think. Find out the exact date next Tuesday!!! It's my first.

Hey Dirty 30! New to the group. I think this is the such an exciting time in life and I'm expecting to hit many milestones, one of which will hopefull be getting healthy. I've lost some but looking to lose more (isn't that always the truth!). Good luck to all of you!

MidgetGidget---I like your pic. That is so true!!!

Yup. I'll also do the opposite when I know I am going out and will have some drinks. I don't eat a calories heavy breakfast or lunch and "save" the calories for later.
-
You can do it. Starting is the first step! good luck!

Thanks guys! That is what I needed! Hope to return the love soon!

Kaiser Permanente is in the midst of a study that looks at calorie counting when you are pregnant. It focuses on gestational diabetes and prevention. Since I need to get pregos soon (as 35 is creeping up) and consulted my doctor who said they'd put me on a reduced calorie diet- enough for baby and specific nutritian. My…

Good call and perfect timing. Longer work week this week and can't get to my calories busting classes. Thanks for putting all in perspective.

Someone once told me to think of it as spending a little more now that saves you from expensive hospital bills in the future. (probably said a bit more elegantly). Anyway that always stuck with me when I felt guilty or was treking from market to market for the best deal. Might help you part wth those dollars if you think…

Ignore the sass. It can be a bit intimidating so I totally get it. Those machines- where do you put your leg? face down or face up? lift or pull? When I was new to the gym, I went during slower times just to get familiar. Once comfortable- 20-30 minutes on the stairclimber, treadmill or eliptical. 30 minutes on weight…

Darn was hoping that there would be some sample menus with brand names included. Bummer!! Anyone out there that can help???

I used to work for a company that allowed me to flex my schedule. It started with me changing my hours to start at 7:30 am-somehow getting up early for work is easier than if I have to do it to get to the gym- maybe the paycheck thing. PLUS I don't like that I have to shower and change and fit that in before work (is the…

Brush your teeth. I once read that Pamela Anderson would do it when she got hungry. The taste doesn't mix well with yummy food. :) Get away from the temptations. Walk, bike, sleep, read. I know not as great, but the cravings will pass! You got this!!!

Wo. Sorry. not trying to start anything here, but just wanted to clarify as it seems you may have misunderstood my intention. I was trying to be positive and remind everyone that you are juggling a lot and still are beautiful, even if you don't always feel it, or see it, or fit into the jeans you want. Sorry if that didn't…

I hear ya!! I've got a rowdy group of friends that love to cook delicious grindz and drink beer before the game... Basically I've been substituing-- carrots for chips (and enjoying all the dips), baked chicken fingers instead of chicken wings. Sub-ing yougurt for philly cream cheese or sour cream. zucchini instead of…

I agree and am 100% with ya. Sad that we never feel good enough.. always seeing the worst (hips or chins or little dimples) even when we are killing ourselves at the gym, carving out time to concentrate on ourselves and balancing family/ career/ school. BREAK THE CYCLE AND raise GIRLS (and boys) TO LOVE THEIR BODIES NO…

Hey all! Thanks for the feedback. Just interested in hearing what others have "adjusted" foodwise so that they can make those precious clories stretch the furthest. All good suggestions so far. Some of you asked for my specifics-- EXERCISE- buring 400-900 calories 5 times a week (60-90 minutes)... um, yea. still officailly…

Are you measuring and using a food scale??? I got lazy and wasn't diligent about my serving sizes- just guesstimated- so I wasn't losing as quick. Does your gym have a scale? I also think that if that is you in the photo you look great so hang in there! It seems like everyone always wants to be 10 lbs lighter (at least),…

Every ten pounds sounds do-able. Thanks!

Thanks! That helps! I guess I'll shell out the cash-ola!

Every Saturday am, same scale (at the gym), same time. If I jump on more often than I feel like my life is consumed with my weight and I obsess. I can see though how it works for others. I just fluctuate too much and it can really unmotivate me to not see a big difference in loss. That is why every Saturday or even every…

Great job!!! I too am looking for the 2 in front... 9 lbs to go. I saw that you take Body Pump 5 times a week, I take it too (twice a week though) and was wondering how many calories you log as burned. I have 390 as the average off of some website, but by no means know if that is the correct amount. Thanks!
