yes, I've been doing PT for about a month. If PT will only do so much......I may have to have cortisone shots, but since I'm a diabetic, I'm trying really hard to stay away from those.....or surgery (which may have to happen).

I don't really know if you are working out the most efficient way or not. However, I would work out cardio 3 days a week and weight/strength training 3 days a week. My reasoning behind this, you can lift heavier on days when you don't do cardio than days when you do. If your going to do cardio on weightlifting days, maybe…

Try hiking instead....most places have several trails that are great for hiking. Make a day of it by packing some sandwiches and some water and get some fresh air.

at home, I don't wear anything when weighing. At the doc's....I take off my shoes, empty my pockets, and lose the coat if I am wearing one.

Fiber One products, All Bran cereal, oatmeal, fruits and veggies, and I leave the skin on my baked potatoes.

I don't know much about medically induce IR, but normally IR responds fairly well to increased activity and reduced carb intake (note reduced doesn't mean none). I know metformin can help reduce IR in some cases such as pre diabetes or PCOS....but it has it's own set of issues. Sorry I can't really be of much help here.
