I've been at this forever... Ive lost between 80-95 lbs depending on the month/year/season of life. I listen to a lot of podcasts to keep me motivated and to remember that change takes time. That it is more important to focus on the process vs the outcome. Here are a few of my favs: The Model Health show- love this guy!…

I have lost 91 lbs(60 with MFP) and my trainer pointed out two days ago that it was the amount of a 13 year old. The most important two things I have done have been to make a decision to never quit, no matter what, and be open minded enough to understand that I needed to learn a lot. That if I knew how to do it I would…

I wish I would have seen it when I first started!

There have been a lot of great suggestions so far. Food addiction is a real thing. Scientists are paid millions of dollars to perfectly layer fat, salt, and sugar to insure that you keep coming back for more. Stop beating yourself up. You are not a bad person, but you may seriously want to consider trying an OA meeting.…

It took me forever to work this stuff out too... If these activities are part of your weekly routine(job) I would enter myself as a lightly active person. Your body is already used to this level of activity and MFP tends to way over caculate calories burned when entered as exercise. I bought a heart rate monitor a year ago…

Thanks :)

I do get in food ruts! Sometimes I'm eating those bars frozen/snack things because I'm a hairdresser and there is no dedicated meal time. Often, I'm shoving something in my mouth and mixing hair color at the same time. And tell me how to make a frozen vegatable taste good and I'll do it! I have tried and my skills are…

I don't trust my fit bit. I just use it as an indicator that I need to move my *kitten* more! :)

I have definitely been measuring food in cups. No wonder things are always listed in grams... I'll start today!

Hahaha! Yes the coffee creamer is an issue! I'm an addict for sure! It is all measured. All of my food is measured and weighed. Yes I use the recipe builder them measure those portions too. Yes I do some HIIT. Less now with my new trainer. Still tho we are talking calories in/out to lose yes?

Hey! I'm Sarah. 38, single, and in St. Louis. I have lost 90 lbs since about 2010 but I am STUCK!!!!!!! Need a boost! I can't wait to see how we all do!

Depends on the day for me. Sometimes I look in the mirror and see the progress and feel like a rock star. Other days I feel like I look no different than I did 90 lbs ago. Self hate does not go away over night and it takes work. Consider getting some help with it. You are so young and life can feel long and crappy if you…

I found the book Chris Powell wrote very helpful and simple to understand.

I'm 37, 5'5, 200.5 lb's as of this morning. When I started this journey I was 289 lbs. I carried the weight around for over a decade and gained it all in about a year after I lost my brother in 2000. I am absolutely a food addict. Scientist are paid millions of dollars to perfectly layer salt, fat, and sugar in processed…

Or full of chemicals... Can't type today.

I second the Aldi's comment! I buy all of my produce, eggs, yogurt, almond milk, and tons of other stuff. Check it out. It is not the same as when I was growing up. Much nicer now.

I agree with the weight training comments. Also, try adding some intervals while you are on the treadmill. Keep it simple. Whether I'm outside or on a machine, whenever the chorus of the song that I'm listening to comes on, I kick it up another level or two. My trainer is big on this! Good luck!

you can probably google the actual handbook. i did on mine. also, i'm sure there are youtube videos for everything you want to do with it.

Huge difference!!!!!!!

Just an fyi... I'm a hairdresser and I have a a few clients who have done extreme diets like that and their hair always gets super thin and brittle. 750 calories is such a low number I doubt you will be able to get the nutrients that you need.

Many of us need a therapist. There is no shame in it. I have a friend who is a member of OA and that worked really well for her. Just a suggestion!

I completely agree with the above posters and am trying to pull my self out of a plateau as well. I would like to add that there is so much good info on MFP. I read a lot of info on a regular basis to learn how I can improve. The majority of people who have been successful, and not suffered while doing it, were eating way…

I agree with this. Since you are pretty small to start with going over on your sugar and carb intake everyday might be keeping you stuck. Also drink more water!!!!

2.85 and proud of it! 3.1 next week and still climbing!

Eating at my calorie goal got A LOT easier when I started putting protein in almost every meal and snack. Especially if I eat a piece of friut o some other type of carb. One of my favorite snacks through the day is some lean lunch meat with a piece of low fat cheese and an apple. You just have to try different combos till…

Congrats!!! I'm coming out of one myself! It was a long 2 months. I too changed one thing. I stopped eating after 830 and voila! Way to stick with it!
