No specific comments but I'm in the same boat with similar stats. For me, I am focusing on losing 5-10 lbs first, and then will do muscle work. Not much into cardio and it just makes me more hungry.

Yes - I have it every Sunday. No way to resolve, but am trying to limit the "heavy eating" to only one day a weekend, or only one meal a weekend.

I would agree with those who say you should wait 2-3 months (to establish supply? Maybe, but really, you don't want to go insane trying to count calories, when you will have a baby on you 24/7!) For me, I started WW 6 months out. Had an exclusive BF who would not take a bottle. I believe WW gives give you an extra 500 cals…

"Clean eating" to me = lower cal veggies/lean proteins, so that I can fit within my way low cal goal (1350). And of course everyone feels better I would think eating more healthy foods but many clean eating paleo, etc etc would have me slathering on lots of butter and other healthy fats - which are great but no way can fit…

Love this!!!

I have 10 lbs to lose; I find if I eat lower carb (not low carb, but limit the fruit to breakfast, and then I have fiber one for nighttime snack) that it seems a "bit" easier. But overall, if you hit 4 out of 7 days you are doing good!
-
If I have too much to drink on any night, I must eat, continuously, for the next 24 hours- and it's not health food. Never helps with the counting!
-
Same here - if I even had one "good" weekend day, that would be helpful

I'm your diet twin 2. 5-6, 145, MFP has me at 1200 but I've increased to 1400, and that's a struggle to stay within--I'm going to try to do it today. Very little (organized) exercise here, but I do run around with the kiddos when I can, but not enough to "make it count"
-
I do think that you are underestimating the number of calories in that meal, but perhaps you can consider just eating healthy / smaller portions at the school meal, and count calories the rest of the day (I do that, count all day, eat a reasonable dinner). Some hints - Does the salad come with dressing on it? can you get…

Nope wasn't exactly planning on it (usually when I make breakfast on weekend it tends to be low calorie b/c it's eggs and veggies) but the muffins the kids made smelled so good! and the breakfast burrito seemed to require extra cheese today? Must just be one of those mornings.
-
BTW I am NEVER under my cal goal and always over it. Only have 10 lbs to lose and still lose weight (but I have the "assigned" calorie goal of 1200 from MFP - I tend to log breakfast and lunch and then try to eat sensibly the rest of the day (hard to log at home from kids at dinner/night) so end up estimating and prob come…

I always go over my cal goal on the weekend. Still end up losing.

Mom of two here, but can't blame the weight game on the kiddos. Lost it once, gained it back, need to lose the 10 lbs again!
-
This put the low end for 5'6, medium frame, at 142. While 142 is great, I think that 130-135 would be fine for 5'6?
-
Takes me a few weeks to get back in the swing of counting every time I stop. I'm in about week 3 now, and I track all day and think about what I'm going to have for dinner, and in the end, usually don't count dinner or anything I eat at night (too much going on with kids) but overall, I'm eating less b/c I really watch the…

Fiber one (original) for breakfast every day may help. Very low in calories (I eat it with almond milk)
-
Sometimes I'll flavor my water with lemonade (1/8th lemonade, just enough to give it some flavor); minimal calories.

Looking for twin! age - 40 Height - 5'6 Current weight - 145 Goal weight - 130 -135
-
40, 5'6 and gained 10 lbs, now I'm at 146. Those 10 lbs hurt (nothing fits) and I am convinced that I gained it ALL in my stomach. When you have 10 lbs to lose, it's HARD. I do "good" all week, and then ruin it all weekend. Maybe this week...

I just googled; the grilled chicken is called "Tyson's grilled and ready chicken breast strips"
-
I like the Tysons (frozen precooked chicken) in the "green" bag (not sure what it's called). They have one that's grilled chicken (no breading) and one that's lightly breaded. Both are good. Prob high in salt but for us, it works! Also, I really like my frozen, pre-cooked breaded chicken - more calories, yes, but keep it…
-
you need WAY more than 1200 (I think you need to add 500 cals if you are nursing to your allotted amount)
-
I did WW while nursing - I believe that it added approx. 500 cals per day. If you google, there are some sites that tell you how much per day - but my recollection is you need to add 500 cals if you are nursing. I thought that there was somewhere on the "goal" section of MFP where you could set "nursing" but I don't recall…

I've "only" got 10 to lose (in quotes, b/c 10 is HARD HARD for me to lose). I hope to get back to weight lifting via a formal routine - Haven't had formal routine in (insert age of oldest child ha ha)
-
Just for today - I will log everything I eat and do 20 squats
-
Best of luck to you. I've had a lot of "first day back" lately, and quickly lose motivation. But hopefully this time it "clicks"!
-
Tx. But the reason I'm asking is b/c the base calories as listed in MFP (either by weight or per grape) varies so widely, so I was wondering if anyone had ever really researched it, or had a reliable source.
-
1000 per day deficit for 10 lbs by Christmas? Wow my math must be completely wrong! But yes, no time right now for formal exercise program (I do fit in 10 mins here and there but nothing substantial enough that I would log it)
-
You are absolutely right of course. I will need to start lifting (that is actually my preferred exercise; circuit training or straight lifting) But right now, my life doesn't allow for any formal exercise regiman, so I'm going with what I can do right now.
