My size 14 suit jacket is too big! And my size 16 blouse is WAY too big. Downside is now I just look sloppy ;)

How long have you plateau'd? I hit a plateau around 208 for the longest time, finally seems to be going down (but have had quite a few "bad" days in the past little while so it has slowed) after I switched to a TDEE -20% (not just 1000 cal deficit a day). Feel free to add me, it seems like we have pretty similar goals (I…

Whatever your "program" is - make sure its achievable, sustainable, and not just a short term solution. I was at 220, got down to 185 and SWORE I would never get there again... lo and behold 4 years later, I was at 245. Life happens. You still have plenty of life left to be the best mother you can for your kids, and a…

I've been off for about two weeks, my left shoulder felt a bit off doing 40lbs each arm, lying DB bench. Going for an ultrasound next Wednesday. Finagled in some front squats Saturday, 5x85, 95, 105, 110, then 115. Really have to work on lifting my elbows and getting that "three finger grip" down You guys are all doing…

Whoops just saw your other questions. a) Yes eat them back, but don't go crazy. I like to think if your body is telling you you're hungry, eat! If it isn't, don't. b) Yes if you are less active than sedentary it will deduce calories. I know MFP has a minimum of 1200 [aka a sedentary burn may be 1900 cal, you say you want…

Sync your Fitbit to MFP, choose sedentary, and added "calories" will be added to your daily goal. When I was getting over 10,000 steps per day it would add about 500 cal but that obviously depends on YOUR size and fitness goals =)

The difference is he ACCEPTS you lifting the weights.

More than willing! I love checking out my friend's diaries! Feel free to send me an add (goes to any other open diary members)

Let's be honest - he probably put it together because he didn't think you'd actually keep up with it. So you say you did it by diet alone - so not only did you start lifting weights a month ago, you just started working out, period? I'm still confused as to how he thinks it interferes with your sex life...? Is he accurate?…

Congratulations! Imagine how much you'll be balling your eyes out 100 lbs from now!

No but every individual is different. I'm doing it slow (not necessarily by choice) and (attempting to) lift heavy. Down 40 so far but a higher starting weight than you. Trust me, the possibility of having loose skin at the end should not be stopping you! Good luck =)

It's only one day of how many you have in your life? Life goes on, just don't let it become a habit :)

Well this is intriguing. You WANT to be a Stepford wife. You WANT to lift. It seems pretty clear he is intimidated. It goes against being the "submissive, weak" partner - so either: - you convince him that lifting is important to you (and your PERSONAL health/wellbeing) and agree that almost everything else will not…

We had a minicamp for football yesterday and I managed to keep up with some of the skinnier ladies, and wasn't near as tired as I would have been earlier this year =). Oh, and picked up some Silver jeans in a size 14 - and they need a belt! Keep up the inspiring work peeps!

5'5'', 26, currently weigh 204 down from 245. I'm currently using the TDEE - 20% because I found it hard to quantify my lifting 3x a week and horseback riding. I'm sedentary but relatively active for an hour a day. My calories are set to 1775 (I underestimated it as working out 3x a week - so if I go over I don't beat…

I kind of want to see you and your muscles ride a horse...

Yup I've found good friends has really helped me. Feel free to add me!

I'm a desk junkie as well but try and get a gym visit in daily :) I'm quite a bit heavier with a bit different goals, but love love LOVE to see my friends succeed! Feel free to add me!

But how does she exercise so much when she talks about obesity as much as she can? Huh?!
-
I'm 5'5 - and super close to being down 40. I feel like you can't tell that much, so I have no photos. But from 245 - to 205.5 today.
-
Congratulations! You're an inspiration :)
-
Way to go! Today 2 minutes, a week...????
-
Whew, did my daytime workout :) Now - get in 5km walk/jog this evening, drink 6 more cups of water, and eat a decent supper (turkey and broc, probably - Canadian Thanksgiving leftovers!!)
-
Trust me that high amount to lose may seem astronomical when you start, but when you start losing at it just gets smaller and smaller. I set mine to 80 and, slowly but surely I'm halfway there and I really feel like I've accomplished something.

Sunday Squats: 5x5 @ 165 lbs - felt pretty good about this, about ready to go up to 170... Rows: 5x5 @ 100 lbs - deloaded a bit of weight, felt my core was much more stable. May take even more off next time Bench: 5x5 @ 105 lbs - because I injured my shoulder about 4 months ago, I'm nervous about upping this, but 105lbs is…

Don't be so hard on yourself. Don't set "HARD" limits on your food/calorie intake, and don't stress out if you're over one day - those days just try and stay under maintenance. For me, moderation has been key. Good luck.

Whew! Back to below my starting weight and a new time low for me. Happy to be on track and killin' it at the gym. Saturday - was pretty much a rest day for me. As in.. I can't remember what I did. Lots of running around. Say a dietitian and was basically assured that carbs are NOT the devil and I should start eating 6-7…
