Yesterday, got in my Couch 2 5k and some of my highest treadmill speeds yet (redoing it to up my pace). Finished off with some core, then did 75 minutes of hot yoga and almost DIED. Glad I did it though. Today going to see a dietitian. Not expecting too much, but can't hurt. Then get in my Stronglifts (Squats, Bench, Row)…

Ooh weekend plans, get two horseback rides in, weights Saturday, also have a meeting with a dietician Saturday. Monday is thanksgiving dinner, but football conditioning in the evening :)

Just over 100 cal yesterday, made ok choices going out for supper. Got in my lifts yesterday Squats 5x5 @ 165 lbs OHP 5/5/5/4/7 @ 80 lbs - First attempt at 80lbs, failed my 5th rep of the 4th, waited 5 min and killed the 5th set. DL 1x5 @ 185s Finished up with some core work. On the docket today - stay under 1800 cal, get…

Had my first fail yesterday =/ Squat 5x5 @ 165lbs (holding here for maybe another session) OHP 5/5/5/4/7 @ 80lbs - failed on the 5th rep of the 4th set. Waited 5 minutes and killed it on the last set. Deadlift 1x5 @ 185 lbs

Thanks! I'll do that. I'm just a pretty shy person and really don't want to be sold their "personal training" (I try to use to my work gym when possible) - fingers crossed.
-
I have a feeling it was overestimating it... it's hard to quantify strength training (only about 100 cal/hr) and my horseback riding with it (I tried to use MFP estimations - approx 360 cal/hr - to replace but it was tricky). It would vary between 2600 - 3000 cal measured but that seems high.

Yesterday I ended up getting an hour horseback ride in where I felt it in my legs and core pretty well. Didn't get to the gym after because, well, it wasn't a great ride. Calories stayed below 1500, so I'm happy. Back to a new personal low and excited to keep it up for the next weigh in :) Today I wantED to get my lifts in…

Thanks! I'll see if my gym has that option (I'm sure it does, but I prefer to run in, get my workout in and head out with minimal interaction). I would say I'd be between 30-35% now based on the above photos, my legs are really pretty toned from football (other than that pesky inner thigh area). Azdak, I tried that, but I…

Thanks! It happens, just gotta be honest with ourselves :) Still getting in a daily workout though, so trying to look at it in a positive light =)

I'm only saying a drastic diet change is harder to sustain long term, for me personally - but yes, you are correct. I would say it is easier to keep enjoying food you love in moderation during the entire process than cutting it out completely, no?

Whoooops I had forgotten about this challenge I admit! Looks like everyone is pretty active so I'll try and keep up ;) End of September I had a definite "not so good time" so went up about 4 pounds, finally hit below my starting weight today. Today I have a riding lesson, still pretty sore from my lifts/conditioning Monday…

Thank you! The TDEE -20% is similar to the modifications after my Fitbit calories were included, so I think that moving forward it will work well.
-
I think that's what I like about losing it slowly though - and exercising moderation. There (fingers crossed...) won't be that relapse that so many people have. At least that's what I tell myself ;)

I found the Fitbit helped me personally, but mostly just by being more mindful of how lazy I really was on my lazy days (not that I have TOO many of them, but still). My Force kicked the bucket though no my run Sunday (after the smallest bit of sweat...) so I'm not sure if I'll keep waiting for the new model or go another…

I have bad days as well, I find it really coordinates with lack of water/food/sleep. I start getting pain in my abdomen, high anxiety and it just makes for a really blegh run. In better news, I'm more mindful of those factors for next time and my next run is usually great.

I'm standing too upright and using my legs too much/core isn't stable enough. Going to scale back the weight a bit and focus on it =/

Took a couple days off so y last lift was... Thursday now. SL 5x5.. squat/bench/row Squats - 5x5 165lbs - last set of 5 was... bleh. Had to use my runners today, regret it. Bench - 5x5 @ 105lbs - happy with it, came down funny on one rep but recovered well. Row 5x5 @ 115lbs - I feel like I am really doing these wrong...…

Maybe look into orthotics? The bonus is insurance may cover it. I had great success after getting some and now I can throw them in almost any neutral type shoe with minimal issues. Obviously some will not be the right shape for my feet but still. Good luck! I had great success with it, and "redoing" it now because I took…

Mine are sad compared to some of these! By my 5x5s... Squat - 160 (*kitten* to ground though!) Bench - 100 1x5... DL - 175 My grip strength really hurts my DL. Have to somehow figure how to improve.

God my weight can fluctuate up to 3 pounds a day. Definitely do not get discouraged! Keep up the good work and you'll get there.

You can edit previous entries and update the first entry =)

It tracks my treadmill running quite well for steps/active minutes I have found.

You can do it! I went from not being able to jog for a minute (at 245), and could run a 5k after only losing 15 pounds! Your goal may be closer than you think! I LOVE seeing the incredible losses from everyone here. I can't even remember when I was anywhere close to my goal weight. I graduated high school around 160…

This sounds amazing...

You have to find that main motivation from inside yourself. What do you find motivates you? What made you fail the last time? If you are just going to keep drinking pop and eating tons of carbs, you have to seriously look at how you want to start this. I LOVE MFP, but your recovery depends on you, and you alone. Good luck!

I just feel like bumping this... came across it on a search. I really struggle with this, and appreciate all the recommendations. If anyone has any others, feel free!

Jaw meet floor! Way to go.

Love all these transformations! Thanks for sharing everyone!

First of all, that letter to the fatty really, really rubs me the wrong way. It makes me SICK as a fat person who runs. If anything, it makes me feel worse that someone could actually look at me like this. Second, YOU CAN DO THIS! I started Couch25K last year and couldn't do a light jog for a minute, swear to god. It gets…
