Thanks so much for your replies! I decided that instead, I will start with a 5k that is being held locally. Makes more sense than spending 6-700 on flight+hotel and go for an event that is clearly not at my fitness level. Will train the next week for the 5k instead, using all the tips that you guys mentioned :)

Start Weight (May 1st):143.6 Goal Weight (June 5th):140 Weigh-Ins May 1st:143.6 May 8th: May 15th: May 22nd: May 29th: June 5th: Fitness/Health Goals: Train for a 5k on 5th of June. Keep eating healthy. Swimming twice a week(0.5 hrs each). Lift weights twice a week.(0.5 hrs each)

At Whole Foods,the people at the counter will remove the skin for you, if you request. I do that every time. The same goes for chicken skin and they will remove that as well :) Hope this helps!
