I recommend you follow the gestational diabetic diet even though you don't "have" it yet. It's full of healthy foods and good choices but lower in carbs which will keep your weight steady- and you may even lose. That said... you shouldn't try to lose weight while pregnant. You need to just aim to gain only what's necessary…

champagne is lower in calories than wine... keep that in mind and just log the cals!

all I can say is thank God mine is now pw protected. :ohwell:

when fat is used for energy, the body converts them to acetyl coa and they are urinated out as ketones after being filtered through the kidneys.

go! If you don't go, you will regret it. If you do go... you won't! Simple enough! :)

my husband used to do that to me until I got him on track and now he's lost weight right along with me!

a bikini! Yep. Even after five kids... I'm going to be ready! :)

I actually agree with this. It takes your brain 20 minutes to realize your stomach is full. The slower you eat, the more time you take to actually taste and savor your food, the less you will actually eat. The whole mastication process of chewing has a purpose. The enzymes in your saliva actually begin the break down of…

^ yeah that. And I have an HRM that tells me my real number.

I do not eat my exercise calories back and it seems to be working for me. I know eating them tends to work well for others. You just have to figure out what works best for you.

My scale wouldn't move for two weeks either... then I noticed my clothes getting way looser. The scale finally caught up with the inches for me- and I haven't increased my intake. Just stick with it! IT will move if you keep on, keeping on!

incredible!!! Congrats on the new you!!

if I have the calories left, I eat when I want to. I don't care what time it is.

yes. You can do it. I was 135 at Christmas and I'm now 118.5. I'm also 5'2" tall. I work out everyday - 1 hour cardio/20-30 minutes strength training. I eat low cal low fat, high protein food.

I am soooo in shock! I grew up listening to her! :(

this kind of stuff doesn't "bug" me either. LOL There are so many "bug parts" in our food that we have no idea what we are eating. This is just one example. Unless you grow everything you eat yourself, there is no way around something like this. I try to eat the pre-packaged stuff in moderation, but the convenience can't…

^^ I agree with this.

I've suffered from an ED for years but it mainly focuses on me. I never look at others and judge how skinny or fat they are. I'm only critical about myself. I've been as small as a girls size 14 and still thought I needed to lose. And no honey, you are not fat!
-
OH MY GOD. I can't believe he actually ate that thing! Gross!!!!!
-
I get that way sometimes. That's when I'll grab a 60 calorie cheese stick. It helps tremendously!
-
you look freaking fantastic!

cake. definitely cake. :ohwell:

wheat thins, cake, and candy. I cannot let myself around it or I binge. BAD.
-
I drink an EAS low carb protein shake :)

the first thing you need to lose is the loser bf. You'll lost quite a bit of "dead weight" when you do that. Then, like others have said- stop making excuses for not being able to workout and eat right. Just do it. Life happens... it's what we do with it that makes the difference. Hang in there. You can do this!! :)

I'm with you. I have a horrible body image from years of ED... no matter how much weight I lose, it never gets better. I'm working on it though! Lifting weights has helped me start to like the muscle I'm seeing, so hopefully I'll decide to like my body sooner or later! :)
