  • Bump so I can listen when I have more time. I totally need this info!!:flowerforyou:
  • ^^^ This!! I did the first 3 days and experienced the same type of pain - so I put it aside. My left knee recovered - but not my right knee! I ended up having to wear a brace for over a month on it for normal every day activity (I work in an office so NOT labor-intense) of just walking. I was really angry because I had…
  • Amazing transformation and such inspiration! Thank you for sharing!!
  • Tried it - and it was worthless - shame on Dr. Oz! I had expected better from him than to promote "junk". I lost all respect for him and now refuse to watch his show if he's going to promote gimmick products.
  • Actually, yes, I did put all mine on in a matter of months - less than 18 months actually. But the chances of me taking it off as quickly as I can gain it is very unlikely. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat/ IF ONLY I could lose it as fast as I can gain it, I would be ecstatic!! It takes me two to three times…
  • ^^^ THIS!! The gym is not for everyone! I had joined Curves years ago and it took a while, but eventually I got to know some of the ladies better who regularly went the same time & days that I did and I began to look forward to the socialization I found among them. Then I joined another ladies fitness club and I loved it…
  • I need to own up to an entire week of it - and I need to get back on the wagon again and starting moving forward before I undo all the hard work I've already done. Although I know I've gained back at least two pounds, I'm going to weigh in tomorrow morning, log my weight and start fresh. AND I'm going to hit my elliptical…
  • I did it for 3 days the first of March and quit. My knees were killing me. My left one got better but my right one still hurts horribly some days, and part of the time I've started wearing a brace on it to help stabilize it. Before that I did an elliptical trainer with resistance and incline and I had re-started my running…
  • I'm so sorry for your loss. I can totally sympathize with where you are at right now. In November 2011, I lost a dear aunt. On Feb 5, 2012 I lost a cousin who was a year older than me - sudden heart attack. Less than a week later, my only sibling died after having a stint put in - a relatively common procedure - he bled to…
  • I couldn't agree more with this post! I was doing great, even running at 6 mph for 2 minute intervals with 3 minutes in between at a 3.5/4 mph jog - until I did Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Three days into it and my knees were absolutely killing me - and my right one has never recovered from the injury! Not a day goes by…
  • Emotions triggered at certain times of the year that mark significant events - such as the loss of a sibling/parent/loved one. I have been eating like a crazy Pac-Man the last two days and I feel pretty certain it's because this time last year I didn't know that I was spending the last two weeks with my mom before she…
  • Love reading all of these! It was ABSOLUTELY what I needed to read! Thank you for starting the post - and thank you to everyone who posted! I love it & it gave me what I needed to keep going with this journey - and just in time!
  • Thanks for the positive thoughts!
  • REPLY TO "BOMBEDPOP"'s comment: So losing a lb a week is not progress? Did you gain at faster rate? Doubt it. Buck up. Actually, YES, I DO gain faster than that - MUCH faster. And as for your comment to "buck up" - how are comments like that supposed to be "motivation and support"? Do you seriously think that's what people…
  • Today - 1450 - Gave in to onion rings and 2 brownies to go with ribs and potato salad. Just getting really frustrated with the scale not moving, so I gave in to the emotional stress eating. :frown:
  • I started it the first of March - did it Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Was SO sore that I had to soak in a hot bath, take Aleve and put an Icy-Hot type cream on my thighs just to sleep at night. It hurt like crazy going down the porch steps - not to mention sitting down (including the toilet!) AND to top that off, I gained…
  • I would not recommend Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I've been exercising and doing free weights at home for a while now and when I tried her video, I hurt so bad I could hardly walk, had to do hot baths before bed and take Aleve to sleep. Invest in a set of 5 or 8 lb weights and a set of 5 lb ankle weights from Wal-Mart.…
  • I started 30DS on March 1, thinking I would do it every day, and hopefully speed up my weight loss. I did day 1, 2 and 3 - and I was SO sore that I had to soak in hot water, take Aleve before bed and put ActiveOn on my thighs - and OMGosh, I'd get halfway down when starting to sit and then just basically "fall" the rest of…
  • Thank you for your words of encouragement. I needed to hear those before I left for work this morning!!
  • I too am one of the ones who like it. It's encouraging to know if I stay the course of keeping my calories in check and my exercise going that I WILL continue to make progress. And when I eat over my calorie intake by what seems "just a little bit", it reminds me that if I keep that up, then I will be right back where I…
  • I'm going to have highlights put in my hair! I've never allowed myself the indulgence of a salon hair color because of the price, but when my scale says 135 (again!) I'm headed to see my hair dresser!! :drinker:
  • ABSOLUTELY agree with this post!! Don't give up! I've been at this since Jan 3 and only lost 9.5 pounds (as of last weigh-in). It's not as fast as I had hoped for either - but once I let it sink in that at this rate, I will be at my goal weight before my target date of November, and knowing that when next January rolls…
  • I, too, have the elliptical, treadmill and stationary bike at home, and also do minor free weight lifting and all for the very reason you stated - I can have them at home to use for years, all without continuing to "rent" gym equipment from someone else for the rest of my life. Also, having a treadmill vs. outdoor running…
  • I'mg going to try wearing them around the house just doing normal everyday things for a few days and get them broke in and my feet/legs/body used to them. Then hopefully after that I can run in them comfortably. I am a little disappointed in not being able to run in them immediately like I had hoped to.
  • I totally understand your frustration! I'm right there with you. My body is fighting me every step of the way to keep on the weight I'm determined to lose. I did up my calories from 1200 to 1500 just recently because I've read so many posts that suggest that might be key. I'm continuing to exercise 6 days out of the week &…
  • Really liked these! Thanks for posting/sharing!!:flowerforyou:
  • These sound great! Going to make them next time I have ripe bananas that need used!
  • bump
  • CONGRATS!! Wow, you look fab! You are absolutely beaming - smiling from the inside out!!
  • KELLENSDAD - THANK YOU!! I had the same question as the post and this took care of crediting for my calories burned!!
