Wonderful! I was also able to get off my blood sugar meds and I'm down to half on my BP meds, hoping to go off them completely at my next check-up. Isn't it fantastic? Keep it up, girl!

I have 4 foods that I eat every day. Old-fashioned (not instant) oatmeal that I cook with unsweetened almond milk, Babybel light cheese, and 100 calorie bags of popcorn.
-
I will track for the rest of my life. I have lost down to my goal weight twice and gained the weight back because I didn't keep myself disciplined. MFP is my disciplinary tool.

I couldn't find Suzie's so I entered all the ingredients and figuring about a 1/2 cup serving, it's 400 calories.

My husband says to crack the shell after they're boiled and then put them in the freezer until just before they freeze and the shells will come right off.

You rock!

I think almond milk is the best thing since sliced bread! I'm trying to get all my calcium requirements from my food and 2 cups of almond milk gives me nearly my 100% daily needs with less than 100 calories. Plus, the stuff makes my oatmeal taste so good!

Tomorrow is a new day. count the calories, drink lots of water, and do better tomorrow.

I had to run through McDonald's drive-thru today and I got a grilled chicken club, no mayo, no cheese, side salad, diet coke. Less than 400 calories. There are times when I go over on my calories. I count them and go on. Get back to it the next day. The idea of screw it, I blew it, I'm going to eat whatever I want, is a…

I'm in. 3 miles/day = 84 miles.

Way to go! Isn't it wonderful? I've lost less than 30 lbs but I've been able to ditch my blood sugar meds (perfect now) and go to half on my blood pressure pill.

YAY! Take care of yourself.

I'm glad you posted this. I just bought a new scale and it weighs 4 lbs heavier than my old, which matches my doctor's scale. I had been thinking about how to handle the discrepancy. After reading the reply you got, I just went into the check-in thing where you record your weight and I noticed underneath the section where…

Love it! So helpful when making food choices.

Are you weighing and measuring your food?

I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a few craisins, and about 1 tbsp of slivered almonds. Also, once in a while, I chop up and apple and cook it in the oatmeal.

I tried to choose mostly veggies at Thanksgiving with small portions of other stuff. Then I estimated what I had eaten and logged everything. It may not be completely accurate but I've been on this plan since early August so I'm getting pretty good at estimating serving sizes. I dread the all-day munchie day coming up at…

My Fit Bit is plastic.

I can't live like that. I joined MFP to learn to eat in a healthy way that I can live with for the rest of my life. My goal is to lose 50 to 60 lbs. I've been here 3 months and I'm down 20. I haven't been hungry and I haven't deprived myself. I log everything I eat and drink. That helps me control myself and make healthy…

I'm in. I've had my Fit Bit for a month now and have yet to make 10,000 steps in a day. I have a desk job. My goal for November is to increase my steps each day until I reach 10,000.

I'm not and have never been a vegetarian but after watching the documentary "Forks over Knives," I've tried to cut back on my protein consumption from animal sources.

I began MFP on August 4 and just now stumbled onto this group. Reading some of the posts, I'm impressed with your goals and the way you integrate character and spirituality into your lives, along with getting yourselves healthy. My goals for November are: Increase my daily steps each day until I reach 10,000 Perform one…

Lucky you! I love cruises. I think the most important thing will be to track your food while you're on the cruise. Practice portion control and make good food choices. Try to scope out the dinner menu ahead of time and plan your meal according to calories contained in each choice. Stay away from sugary drinks. Plus keep…

The longer I'm on MFP, the less hungry I feel. I guess my stomach has shrunk.

Someone finally noticed my weight loss yesterday-- a friend I haven't seen in a few weeks. He didn't know I had been seriously dieting. He even went home and asked his wife if she knew I was losing weight. Finally some validation. I think it has to be someone who doesn't see you every day but knows you well enough to…

I've been dealing with this for more than a year. I ignored the pain and kept doing my workouts until it got to the point that I just couldn't do it anymore. I had to get a cortisone shot in my heel, then be on cortisone pills for a little while. Had to wear a brace in the daytime, a boot at night. I've been doing the…

My baby is 25 and I still blame her for my weight gain! :-) Seriously, this program is awesome. As long as you log your food, you will lose the weight and you will maintain your weight loss.

I switched from half and half to almond milk. I love it. It's full of calcium but so low in calories (40 per 8 oz), fat, and sugar.
