Pumpkin Oatmeal- Yummy breakfast
I adapted this from a crockpot recipe. Makes 1 serving. 1/2 c. old fashioned oats 1 c. almond milk 1 c. pumpkin good sprinkle of cinnamon sprinkle of cloves (I used less than the cinnamon because cloves seem stronger to me) Stir together well and microwave on 60% power for 3 minutes. NSV - down 2 sizes in jeans!
I was in a hurry this morning and grabbed a pair of jeans, thinking they were size 16. I had them on and zipped before I realized they were an old pair of size 12s that I hadn't been able to get into in months and months. So, I wore them to work and they are comfortable. YAY!

NSV- one less RX
Went to the doc today and he took me off the prescription that I was on to control my blood sugar. With MFP, I'm doing it myself! Another 10 lbs and he's going to let me go half on my blood pressure med. By the end of the year, I hope to only be swallowing vitamins and healthy food. :smile:

Calcium and Protein- impossible to meet both goals?
How in the world can you meet calcium *and* protein goals? If anyone is meeting both those goals, what are you eating? I wouldn't worry about this if I hadn't just watched Fork Over Knife a few weeks ago and learned that people are healthier when they eat less animal protein.

C25K with plantar fasciatis

Sugar from fruit?
My blood sugar level has been way too high (at least prior to joining MFP) so I added a column to my daily nutritional breakouts to measure my sugar intake. What do the numbers in each category (other than calories) represent? I thought they represented grams but that doesn't seem to be checking with my food labels.
