I've been drinking wine and including it in my food log since I've been on MFP. It hasn't affected my weight loss that I can tell (except when I drink so much that I go over my calories).

My best tip is, instead of putting dressing on your salad, dip your fork tines in it before every bite. You hardly consume any of it but you get the taste. Saves lots of calories.

Thanks for this info and this topic! I just edited my food diary and added two meal categories- Veg Servings and Fruit Servings. If you can resist long enough, you'll break your addiction and you will not want them. When you want something sweet, eat fruit. Sugar is like a drug. Beat the addiction. You can do it.

Why don't you keep nuts or seeds around and eat them when you need to up the calories? Very nutritious and very high in calories.

I find that cabernet sauvignon pairs really well with Orville Redenbacher 100 calorie snack bags. :-)

It could be hormones or salt intake. You can't possibly have gained 5 lbs in a few days. You'd have to eat 17,500 calories to do that. Drink lots of water and weigh again in a week or so.

I am amazed by how much protein I consume just through veggies (2 Roma tomatoes have 7 grams! 1/2 of an avocado 10 grams. Who knew?) and a few seeds and nuts in very small portions. I know it's hard to believe but scrambled eggs and bacon are not a high calorie breakfast. A veggie omelet without cheese is really delish and low cal also. My at-home breakfast most days is oatmeal with a tbsp of nuts and either a couple tbsp of craisins or some fruit and that's low cal and filling. Have fun!

I go over protein every day too and I worry less about that than I do meeting the other goals. But I have been reading a lot lately about healthy eating and I'm trying to cut back on my animal proteins.

I think you have to lose weight all over and your stomach will shrink too. Mine has even though I can still grab a lotta fat. One good tip I read on here is to stand up straight and hold in your stomach. You develop your stomach muscles and kind of give yourself a tummy tuck along your weight loss journey.
