  • I'm game for this. I think it would be good to cut out the few processed foods I still rely on and cook even more. They are mostly at breakfast, so this will basically mean modifying my breakfast to bacon and eggs! :) which I love.
  • I always get vodka tonics. Sometimes rum and diet coke
  • @annalisbeth74 yes this is exactly what happened to me! I just started having 15 hour days on Tuesdays and Thursdays and am bringing a ton of food with me. It's way worth my sanity, not the cheat meal. No more of those. @GaleHawkins thank you for sharing your story. Isn't it funny how much we crave carbs we choose them at…
  • you could just eat something you'd typically have for lunch or dinner. I find it really doesn't matter!
  • Liquors seem to have no effect on ketosis for me but I notice with wine I tend to slow down on weight loss and bloat up. Probably the quantity :-O
  • Meeeee, in the SCV and SFV
  • you can doooo it! I have had moments of weakness I posted about recently, but we gotta stick to our guns. It's well worth it just to not give in to other foods and stick to what works best for us. Sounds like you know what you need to do. And yes, accountability is everything. I'm back to posting on mfp regularly (I love…
  • Thank you for the responses. I do believe I have to be more strict. Which is ok with me. I enjoy the lchf options which is why I've been able to stick to it for as long as I have. No more hunger crashes, a steady weight I'm comfortable with, clear skin, good hair, the list goes on! I guess I just got a little too lax with…
  • I think some people are more attune to how vegetables make them feel since they already are accustomed to eliminating so much from the standard american diet. Just like any other food, you can have adverse reactions from certain veggies. Some people have said nightshades make their joints hurt, for example. Me personally…
  • Mine have actually filled out more. And gotten itchy :-/ weird stuff.
  • Too many carbs for one food for me, I'd rather spread them out through the day
  • wow, that is incredible!
  • bored as alllllll hell wishing I could cause trouble
  • forever for me, if I stop the weight is going to come back on, I'll be hungry and always crashing from hunger, and my skin will suck. I'm sure there's more. That being said I am at 50 or under right now, I plan on eventually upping it to 100 or less
  • I hate that stupid show. It took awhile for all the annoyances to build up though, so I've seen it plenty of times. The only thing I like about it is how the people have to learn on their own how to make their new diet and exercise routine work for them at home. More often than not they fail...so it could be implemented…
  • hunger isn't affected now that I'm keto but the experience is a hell of a lot lighter, which I am very thankful for!
  • It just makes me hungrier, doesn't help me lose weight (since I'm not monitoring calories). It was helpful in CICO days because it allowed me to eat more. Now that's irrelevant. I think jogging is enjoyable when I'm in the mood to do it. Keeps you fit. Would never excessively do it again; there's just no reason to other…
  • What a transformation, you are looking great Ang!
  • Sorry you feel yucky :( Do you think it's because maybe your body isn't used to eating other kinds of foods anymore and developed an intolerance? Also, why the dairy binge... did you feel deprived? I've only been strict lchf for about a month but i don't think i'd binge on what I cut out b/c I don't miss it
  • how long are you planning on fasting? 33 hours is a long time...
  • Yeah. Please don't do this.
  • Get him exercising!! Less time in front of the TV or computer. He is still growing; there are lots of young teens who are pudgy and are still developing. He could hit a growth spurt at 16, like many guys do and his weight will redistribute. Cook healthy foods and have dinner as a family. You're in charge and he should have…
  • Yeah, I would find a new gym. It is what it is. I know you didn't mean to overstep your boundaries, but you did. He was still your trainer at the end of the day, not a friend. Giving frequent food gifts and texting a lot is crossing the line. Don't feel bad, though. Lesson learned. He should have said something long…
  • I'd like to participate but not if it's IF. I can't, and don't want to, limit how much I eat on certain days. But majority rules so maybe I'll see what's up for August
  • I'm extremely simple when it comes to coffee. Black, splenda, and half and half/whipping cream. 1 carb is nothing (to me), just be careful they don't add up. If I really wanted a cappuccino I guess I'd check the carb count before going or not bother. Not a big fan of the fancier drinks as I'd rather eat my calories than…
  • Uhm just don't pay the $110 for the program. She is making a killing ripping people off. You can find them for cheaper if you're resourceful enough... And I agree with the others that you should be getting healthier because YOU matter, not because your ex let you go.
  • I will be sooo sad when it stops, lol. I've been losing 1.5lbs per week the past couple weeks, which is a ton for me. But I won't stop this WOE, the benefits WAY outweigh eating SAD crap again.
  • Just for my own knowledge... 1.coffee 2.half and half 3. splenda 4. heavy cream 5. eggs 6. turkey sausage 7. beef 8. cheese --cream cheese, colby, cheddar, muenster 9. dark chocolate, 72% cacao 10. blackberries 11. almond milk 12. coconut milk 13. nuts --cashews, almonds, brazil nuts, macadamian 14. almond butter 15.…
  • Really letting go of old beliefs about food and giving lchf a real chance. It's paid off. I am not super tempted to deviate from plan, and I know if I do it's not the end of the world. It's really helped me change my mindset about food because I feel so good eating this way.
  • I was going to say my knees too! right around the borders I can see definition coming in. My shoulders always surprise me too, I feel like I can see so much. Now why can't that happen with my stomach...
