  • My goal weight is one that I really feel I looked my best at but I was that weight at a time when I was able to work out everyday and be really active. So, if I end up a few pounds over that I will be okay. Right now I'm over my healthy-range BMI so I definately want to get in that healthy range again for starters.
  • Way to go Zara!! That's awesome! I'm getting ready for my first 5K in August and I'm super excited! You're a great inspiration.
  • Thanks for the great advice and support!
  • Congrats on your 16days! You will be fine and, yes, you are okay! I've done the binge/purge thing although I've never been diagnosed with an eating disorder (it's never been a consistent habit). I understand how awful it can feel after eating too much, but it's just one instance and you can choose to eat healthier or be…
  • I'm not an expert, but here is what I think. The exercising you did sounds good. However, the food you switched to sounds a little lacking. Sure, low-cal, low-fat and low-sugar is good but your body needs real food. Real fruits and veggies and real protein (not a processed shake). This will give your body the healthy fats…
  • Yes, I believe I have felt the same way. You're making changes and taking away things that your body is used to, so its like your mind is rebelling. I'm not sure of the best way to deal with it, but maybe give yourself some wiggle room in your diet. Throw in a small square of chocolate (or whatever does the trick) so you…
  • I guess that's what I thought the idea was...but in the meantime it's so tedious. Oh well, it won't feel tedious when the scale starts moving! Thanks!
  • I think you're all correct and I just needed some realistic opinions. I need to get back to the basics, but I'm not typically a patient person and I just want to my extra weight to be gone! @JPod279: I can't believe you ended up in the hospital! That's really scary...I had a slight hear murmur at birth...no complications…
  • Ooh, I really need to join this! I love, love, love me some popcorn late at night, but last night was more like a popcorn binge and I was rewarded with a stomach ache. :frown: So far me0/snacks2, boo. But I'll get better! I'm setting 8pm as a cut-off.
  • I've done this too, but regret it the next day for more reasons than one! I think if you end up hugging the toilet it can't all count anyway. :drinker:

  • I've always found diet pills to be expensive disappointments. Either they make me feel dehydrated (probably losing water weight which will just come right back), jittery (likely causing heart damage), or nothing at all (probably doing nothing at all). I tried Slimquick once and it fell in the last category for me...
  • I experience the same thing, but I find if I eat right after I take my vitamin I don't get nauseous.
  • aaaaaahhhh!!! I do all of this too...plus if i forget to weigh myself before i drink or eat something in the morning and then weigh myself, that weight can't "count" as my "check-in" weight! :noway:
  • I have La Choy lite soy sauce and it shows on the bottle that it's 50% lower sodium than their regular version. So, you could look for that or else look for Bragg's liquid aminos as a soy sauce substitute. I'm not sure of the sodium content but I've heard of it as a replacement for soy sauce so, taste wise, it may be okay.
  • I work out for 50min on the treadmill about 4days a week. 4min walk to warm up, 42min running, and then 4min walk to cool down.
  • I think you should only eat if you are hungry. So stop when you're full. But, if you want to try squeezing in more calories try having protein shakes or bars. Those things have plenty of calories (although they don't seem very filling to me). Sort of volumetrics in reverse...
  • Thanks for all the replies! I'm following the right amount of calories and it sounds like I'm not the only one who has seen this happen, so it must be OK!
  • Hi! I have been differing types or levels of a vegetarian for about ten years: pescetarian, pollo-pescetarian, vegan, ovo-lacto vegetarian, etc. Now I am back to eating seafood, poultry, eggs, and dairy (I do not call myself a vegetarian anymore). I won't tell you that you have to eat meat (I know how irritating that is!),…
