I started off on the treadmill. On week 4 day 3 I ran outside. It was hard but from the second day onwards my body adjusted. I am on week 7 now and I alternate between treadmill and outside. It is not as much fun on the treadmill but it does help you run.

You can do it. If you feel tired try to create short goals. I kept telling myself till this song is over and all of a sudden the app said 1 more minute . You can do it. Good luck

If I am going out to eat I try to pick restaurants which have nutritional info published. I go thru the menu ahead of time and decide what to order so as to avoid impulse ordering and regretting later

Thanks a lot everyone. I feel better now. Will go with HRM subtract 20% to arrive at net calories and use that to eat back my exercise calories. Thanks for being so supportive and answering my questions.

I went through the manual and it only lets me put in height weight, gender and age. I do not know what Vo2 is( will look it up), but I did not see an option for V02.
