Looks like those came back normal as well. I am waiting to hear back for the next step. We did talk about metformin because I do have PCOS and it could be some insulin resistance still happening. I have gotten even more strict with my food and drinks, added more cardio and the scale is still going up. I am starting to lose…

Thank you! It is easy to just go with what a DR says, because they are suppose to be expert, but sometimes that's not the best or right thing. @hist_doc OH WOW! I am glad they were able to get to the bottom of the issues for both of them. It's a definite pain in the rear. @kshama2001 I don't think she ordered any more iron…

I actually went and saw a PCP yesterday and even she was shocked. She ordered the tests that you mentioned, as well as a 24 hour cortisol check. Given my diet, my workout routine, etc, she said there is definitely something going on.
-
@charmmeth thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Good Luck with your issues, they are never fun!
-
@Fuzzipeg Thanks! I thought most should probably do more, but then thought maybe I was being dramatic. I definitely don't feel even close to my normal; which I understand is easy to chalk up to divorce and losing 2 grandparents, plus the surgery. I just really feel like it's more than that. I had my hysto for several…

@nanastaci2020 Thanks! They ran a CBC, CMP, and TSH yesterday- so far everything is good on those. Iron and vitamins are my next request. I just feel like 15+ with no significant changes in diet and lifestyle is a lot. @lesdarts180 I could see where both of those would cause weight gain! I was actually 4.5 post surgery…

@nooshi713 Hi! I don't weigh/measure my food anymore (unless its something I don't eat often), I tend to be pretty basic and eat the same thing everything. I have been the same wait since last weight (until the end of June). As far as workouts, I did CrossFit- presurgery, and now run and do other crosstraining/HIIT work…

@hfrise I will have to try Oatly Cream... I sadly am not into cooking, by this is definitely giving me reason to be. Cutting all dairy and yeast, has been an interesting change. I agree food is a huge factor in how our bodies work. The rest was quite interesting, dairy was a main food source for me; I had been since right…

I would of rather not went there... BUT, relying on citrecel to keep things moving (no matter how much fiber I ate) and zantac to keep the heartburn at a dull was not fun.

Dairy was my shocker too.. It wasn't just milk it was all dairy.. especially whey  Sadly, that was a good check of my calories (I'm not a big eater, so shakes and bars were a big go-to for me). I actually got my results right after being sick, so I was pretty empty on food, I did notice after eating a cobb salad…

An allergist test for allergies, not so much the intolerances.. Which mine seem to be! I haven't had the scratch test done in a number of years, but it can be helpful too. The blood test finds more of the delayed reactions, such as mine when I would eat bread and become backed up. It's definitely a tricky science to…

A DO preferred the work, inconjuction with a lab in Seattle... another md also recommended i do it.
-
Lmao.

Uh, dairy! Everything dairy was a high reaction. I live in whey shakes, low fat cheese, etc... my main issues were bloating, constipation and heartburn. Which all increase when I get hard core into working out and upping my supplements. Yeast was high, i had always blamed my issues on Gluten, but I was a tad off.
-
That's a great suggestion... I'll have to get back on mine. Thanks!!

I received my food test results... Which were bittersweet, but do make a lot sense.. Tested high for the following: Chedder, Cottage Cheese, Mozzarella and Wheater Gliadin... The following were very high: Baker's Yeast, Brewer's Yeast, Milk, Radish (random), Whey (so sad) and Yogurt.. Time to start making some big changes!
-
Thanks. I'm going to work on her digestion suggestions until we have the results and go from there.. they have already helped a lot!
-
Had the test done yesterday, results in a few weeks.. She was very informative and said that my bowels were farely backed up, which was a surprise to me. This in turn was likely where a lot of my heartburn was coming from. Changed up a few things, added some good gut meds, and working forward!
-
Did you stop eating wheat after that? Notice any differences, if so?
-
I haven't gone that far yet. Figured I'd do fodmap for a while (which helped), then go from there. I'm hoping the results from the food allergy test shed some insight as well.
-
I really need to look into Prilosec... I'll see how today goes! It's such a pain! Literally and figuratively!
-
Tracking my food obviously helps, but there doesn't seem to be a huge common demonator. Fatty and fried foods don't really bug me, sour candy and lemon juice do it at time, carbs are the same. So confusing. Either way, I'm trying to follow more of the fodmap guidelines.
-
Has anyone else done this test?
-
Thanks everyone! I was able to get in on a cancellation (and favor to my mom) to an DO tomorrow and she's starting with the food allergy test. Which is something I wanted for a longtime.
-
Yes, but when drs try and push pill after pill, it's nice to hear what has worked for others.

I had a full work up in July, the last time this happened. Everything was normal and good. She said to eat FODMAP style, and have me Zantac, both of which helped. But it appeared again. I don't eat fatty foods very often (other than nuts), nor so I eat large meals. I can't seem to find a rhyme or reason, it's very…
-
Yikes! So far this change seems to be helping. Just a bit of minor bloating. Im down 5.5 lbs since last Friday.
-
I agree, I've been pretty careful this week. I'm trying to stick with protein, nuts and low fodmap veggies and fruits. It's helped. I'm hoping up get some sort of allergy test, just to see if that helps pick up some sorta of trigger. I agree, when I'm stressed I want everything I can't have!

I have been tested for celiac. I'm hoping that at my follow up, I can have her book me with my allergist- and get the food panel done. Seems like the logical next step. Until then it's fodmap- which is kind of confusing to me.
