That's great! Keep up the running; water is extremely important! If it's a flavor thing for you, try adding fruit to it. Strength training will also help, but diet is key to weight loss. It's not how much or how little you eat, but rather the quality of the fuel you put in your body.

What are you eating? How much water are you drinking? Do you push yourself when you run?

If you can't fathom eating more volume, try eating more caloricly dense foods- olive oil, avocado, nuts, ect. But you should definitely up your calories. To lose weight/gain muscle, one must properly fuel their body. Look up your BMR to get an estimate of what you should eat based on your measurements. Good luck

I'm a rescue diver too! Congrats on your successes

Why not say, "I don't eat red meat or pork", instead of "I'm a vegetarian, but I eat fish, eggs, milk, cheese, chicken, ect..." Just seems like it's an attention thing. That being said, talk to a ditetian first, and if meat is going to give you a better quality of life, go for it, girl!!

Great work, OP!

It's not that Stella Liebek was too stupid to know that the coffee was hot, it was the THIRD DEGREE BURNS on her lap she suffered from when it spilt. Now I like hot coffee but it doesn't take a genius to realize that her coffee was heated to excess. She had to spend 8 days in the hospital -what an idiot. ???? All that…

Not sure about meatloaf, but for baking I use 1/4 c of applesauce per egg. Keeps cakes moist.

Black bean bowls: -can of black beans -saffron rice -onion -peppers -tomato -avocado -your favorite hot sauce Sautée the peppers & onions while the rice is cooking. Pour in the black beans over the cooked onions. Add hot sauce ( I usually add cumin, cilantro, and red pepper flakes but you asked for 5 ingredients). Spoon…

I reached my highest weight ever (139), after graduating college and no longer participating regularly in sports. I had no idea how to lose weight as I had never struggled with weight, so I was pretty much clueless. I found MFP on a whim & it's really helped as I am almost back to my high school weight.

Dang it!

The bean loaf sounds yummy!

I did a research paper in college about the ethical problems with fast fashion, it opened my eyes to a lot of the problems with cheap labor. H&M and forever21 are the two of the biggest offenders. Like the comments above, I prefer to pay a bit more to get clothes from a more ethical source. I tend to shop Nordstrom Rack,…

I'm vegetarian, beans are my life!! Hahaha. I like making white bean & kale ragout (knead for food has a great recipe on his blog) or black beans with saffron rice & peppers. I tend to cook a huge amount on the weekend so meal prep during the week is easy. Beans are pretty versital, I've seen recipes for brownies even.…

I'm 5'2 and eat about 1600 a day. I probably run about 15 miles a week.

It's great you're sticking to your guns about being veg, I doubt protein is your problem. To get more active start small: park farther away, take the stairs, ect. Go to the gym even when you don't feel like it. Get plenty of rest.

It could be a combination of things: 1) Being small in stature, weight comes off more slowly than taller people. 2) 1200 calories may not be enough; being unable to see your diary or knowing your activity level- I really can't make any assumptions, but as an example, I'm 5'2 and eat 1530ish a day. 3) Quality & quantity of…

Been veg since February, before that I was weekday veg. I'm pursuing a career in nutrition, and my research showed me that the vegetarian lifestyle aligned with many of my beliefs & ideals. It's better for the planet, the animals, and myself. :)

That's great! I know it can be hard to get away from fast food.

I'm fairly active; work out 5-6 times a week & work in retail, but I've kept my lifestyle at lightly active because I log my workouts & then eat back most if not all of the calories burnt. MFP can work two ways: 1) changing your lifestyle setting as you become more active, eating the calories it prescribes you, and not…
