I think that kind of loss sounds good - I know it can be difficult to stay motivated when there's no loss one week, but I do try and keep an eye on the long term picture.

This is a great first step on what I'm sure will be a fantastic journey. Embrace it and enjoy it - it's so worth the effort :)

Hi and welcome on board - you'll get there if you take it one step at a time, and hopefully have a great ride along the way! From personal experience the results are worth the effort. I started out and didn't exercise for at least 4 months, and even then only did short walks.

I have done this, and although I'm far from being quick enough to do 5k in 30 minutes, I can run for 30 minutes. I couldn't run for 60 seconds when I started and I do think it's definitely helped with my weight loss.

As I've grown out of something, I put it in a different room and made room in my wardrobe. As my husband and I have been losing together, we had a huge pile of excess clothes - I finally got rid of them all this week. I am soooo determined never to need those sizes again and it felt good dropping them all off at the…

I loved it too! Still haven't managed to get to the 5k, but can do 30 minutes non-stop, which I NEVER imagined I would be able to do. Working on the pace now and also use the Nike+ sensor with my iPod - keeps me motivated.

Fairly similar here too - would be great to hit the 100 lb mark by the end of the year. That's my new goal now! Looking forward to celebrating altogether when we hit the 100! :flowerforyou:

Wishing you lots of luck - I'm sure you'll achieve your goal and I look forward to seeing the results

I just 'zone out' and genuinely feel like I'm there on my own whilst working out and I don't tend to go much more than twice per week. You'll love it once you start - and you've inspired me to get out of bed and head off there now!

Welcome on board! With this goal in mind, I'm sure you'll achieve what you're hoping. I've found the site to be a great support. Feel free to add me - I'm in Essex too :)

I just had to bite the bullet and buy some new clothes - I was feeling like I was wearing a sack every day and looked horrendous. The problem is, and admittedly a good problem to have, as I've lost weight, I seem have dropped sizes with less inches lost. When I first started losing weight, I lost loads before my clothes…

Favourite thing about Christmas...? I've gone off Christmas (I know, I know!!) somewhat over recent years - I don't have children and it always seems a little bit of an anti-climax. But this year I am definitely looking forward to having a special Christmas Day outfit in a size smaller than I've ever been in my adult life.…

I agree - you can do this!! You're soooo close - I see that I'm a little bit behind you, so I'm now counting on you to get to onderland soon, as then I know I'll be following on soon.

Welcome on board - agree that steady loss is the way to go. Good luck with your journey

Hi everyone. So, for my piece of clothing..... I have an evening dress that I bought on sale for a cruise at the end of the year. It's a good 2 sizes too small, but at the rate I was losing I was sure I'd fit into it by November - I've slowed down a bit now, so am no longer so sure! Will have to measure ow many inches away…
-
Great to be on board for this. Off to get me a ticker! :)
-
 Looking forward to getting know everyone over the next few months in the run up to Christmas.

No contact with Tammy as yet - will keep popping back :)

Hi - my name's Alison and I'm keen to get a bit closer to goal and Christmas would be a great time to get there. I've done quite well so far, but have definitely slowed down and would love to take the rest of this journey with some others. I've lost just over 70 pounds, but have another 35 to go to be at my lowest adult…

Tammy and I haven't managed to catch up yet, but I'm sure we will.

Here's to a great start to the week. I'm looking forward to sharing our successes over the next 19 weeks :)
-
Yeh! Ready to tackle this head on :)
-
Hi - I'm also in the UK and would love to be part of a challenge - I have another 35 to be at initial goal, but I'd take 19 by the end of the year!
-
Great challenge - game on :) I did just over 500 yesterday, so a good target to aim for at the gym today. Look forward to catching up later on.
-
That's fab-tastic. Am so pleased for you and for me to see some piccies!
-
:drinker: No fighting this end either
-
We're just waking up in the UK - I may be a freak, but can't claim to be sleepless.

Welcome on board and good luck with your journey. Look forward to seeing the results

Hi - I'm in the middle of week 8 and have loved it. It took me a long time to get going and about 3 weeks before I managed to complete week 1. My pace has been pretty slow throughout, so that's my next aim to try and speed up. I found treadmill better than outside as I was able to pace myself easier. No asthma issues, but…
