  • I'm on week 8 of C25K and would never have believed I could have achieved a 28 minute run when I first started. It's a great programme - just need to work on my pace now.
  • Welcome on board - I'm sure you'll find lots of support and inspiration. Feel free to add me - happy to get to know you on your journey

  • Absolutely -can tell straight away in your face. Great work!
  • What a great story - I've just completed my first 20 min run on C25K and still feel a long way off even running a little 5K, never mind a marathon, but you have given me renewed inspiration. Look forward to seeing pics of you with Mickey and Minnie next January
  • I have put off W5/D3 and the 20 min run for 2 weeks, but got my head into gear and got back on the TM today. I am proud/disappointed as I did do 16 mins straight, but disappointed because I do think I could have pushed a bit harder and got nearer the 20 mins. Going to try again tomorrow. Super proud though because I…
  • Hi - I'm in Essex and you'll soon find lots of Brits introducing themselves to you. Welcome to the site and good luck with your journey!
  • I'm 5ft 10 and am aiming for 180. As I've never been that low (at least since I became eligible to vote!), would love to think I could go lower, but if I can make 180 by the end of the year, I'll be super happy.
  • Hi - I'm already part way through the journey, but would be great to join you all. I started with my changes at the beginning of the year and would love to have lost 100lb by the end of the year.
  • I use the Nike+ and iPod and love it! I find it so motivating.

  • I am sooooo not a runner, but did week 5 day 1 yesterday and it was great - must admit I'm somewhat scared to take on day 2 and the 8 minute run. I'm super slow too - ran on a treadmill today in front of a full-length mirror and my top half is running, but my legs do look remarkably like they are walking...... I am slowly…
  • Welcome onboard! Sounds like you've got just the right motivation and determination to achieve your goals. You can do it and well all be cheering you on. Enjoy the journey :)
  • I had admitted to being obsessed with the success stories and am constantly looking at pics - hadn't thought of it as being creepy..... Now maybe I am bordering on creepy obsession! :embarassed: :
  • Will be thinking of you - I'll have a rest day tomorrow, but looking forward to Week5Day1 on Tuesday

  • I started a few weeks ago and got to beginning of week 4, but then lost a couple of weeks as I got knocked out with flu. Started with week 3 again last week and today finished week4day2 today - with a couple of extra minutes run thrown in because I felt OK. I run indoors though, don't seem to be able to do it outside as…

  • I never burn a really huge amount, but I always eat them back.
  • Hi - I'm 5ft 10 and have been working at this since the beginning of the year. Just hit 60 lbs lost but still have at least another 50 to go. Happy to share the journey with you all.
  • Welcome on board! I'm sure you'll find the inspiration and motivation you're looking for - I've found everyone on here to be a great support.
  • This is what I do too - log seperately. I got upto D1Wk4 last week, but have been ill since - wanted to pick it up again this week!

  • I do think people are cautious about mentioning it - there are so many people that haven't mentioned anything to me.
  • I don't try anything extra - I just accept that nothing will happen for about a week, and then it kicks in again. Seems to even itself out over the month.
  • 'Don't lose any more'! (I have 50+ lbs to go just to reach the top of my ideal BMI range - I am still obese!!) I do wonder if people say that because they feel some sense of self-guilt for not doing it themselves......
  • Hi and welcome onboard. I'm sure you'll find all the inspiration and motivation you need. My hubby and I started together - he had a lot less to lose than me and he's just made it to the top of the ideal BMI range -feeling ever so proud! Good luck with your journey.
  • It took at least 35 - 40 lbs before anyone said anything and even now at 55 down, so many people don't say a word. I've no idea if people don't notice or are cautious about saying anything. My family have now only just starting saying anything, but people at work... not a word!! In a way, I'm quite glad I don't have to…
  • Looking great!! Well done. Your starting stats are similar to mine, and I'm 5'10, so I can see where I could end up!! Truly inspirational.
  • Makes sense to me - but not sure how much is burned when sleeping. I always find when I sleep more, I seem to lose more!

  • That's an amazing transformation - well done you!! I can see you've worked really hard to get there and you should be so proud. A true inspiration and proof it can be done...
  • Hi - great to hear from you. I tend to lurk more than post, and am constantly amazed and inspired. You're right though, it's good to have a few people to be cheered on by, and to cheer on along the way. Happy for you to add me if you like.
  • Hi - happy to join you on your journey! I've lost just over 3 1/2, but to get to ideal weight I need to lose at least another 5. Look forward to watching your progress :)
  • Hi - I did week 1 for more than 3 weeks before I got it. Don't give up, because it definitely gets easier. I don't run much faster than I walk, but I figure I can work on the speed later on. I did day 1 of week 4 today, which has 2 lots of 5 minute runs - when I first started I NEVER thought I'd be able to do that. Keep…
