  • First month with you all this month, but I'd like to get to 50 miles by the end of April. Off to sort out a ticker!
  • Welcome onboard! Looking forward to seeing your success over the coming weeks
  • That's 11 1/2 lbs for me - that's some challenge! :ohwell:
  • You can get the ticker info in 'Tools' and then go to signature in the Community section to paste it. Great motivator to see it moving along in the right direction
  • Good luck with it all! We started with Diet Chef and I still love the strawberry shakes. It gave me a great kick-start and I did it to the letter for the first 2 months. Since then, I've trailed off the foods, but the calorie counting has stuck with me.

  • Well done to both of you and good luck on your journeys. Me and my hubby are on this together and it makes it much more bearable!
  • I have never run before.......I started C25K this week and am sooo unfit, I couldn't even manage the 2nd 60 second jog on my first day. Today though I got to do 4 of the 8 jogs. I'm looking at it that I'm adding another couple of weeks into it, so having a 2-week run-up (no pun intended) to officially starting week 1. In…
  • I had loads - have realised that I had double portions of almost everything I ate. My major vice I had at this time of year was Creme Eggs (are they just UK sweets?) - I could easily eat 6 in one go and had been known to eat a box of 12 in one day. Makes me feel ill thinking about it now.
  • Definitely!! Well done :)
  • This happened to me too!! I haven't done any exercise in years..... but started walking on Monday and have done one each day this week (OK, I know that's only 3!) but Monday I got the pain in my hips and Tuesday it started to become almost unbearable. I tried some more cushioned trainers today and it definitely made it…
  • I've just downloaded True Weight and input the previous weights and it's great that it shows monthly and weekly losses - helps put achievements into perspective. Thanks for this!
  • Not that I can remember, at least not to my face. I'm sure it's been discussed behind my back, particularly by my family!! My next goal is Easter when I go back to visit my parents - can't wait to see their reactions (and yes, I'll be so disappointed if they don't notice!!)
  • I bought one and it looks like it works OK, but I am somewhat clueless as to what good looks like in a HRM - I work in HR and until this work thought HRM stood for Human Resources Manager!!! Will try it out tomorrow, but I have it on now and it's found my heart which I guess is a good start. Anyone else with tips, I'd…
  • Looks like you're in the right place - if you're like me, you'll find loads of inspiration, motivation and great advice on here. Wish you luck with your journey  I'm not far from you, in Essex.
  • I had that for a few weeks - have started drinking a lot more water this week and it cleared up quite quickly.
  • Hi everyone - I started at 276 and reached 231 today, which is the lightest I've been in over 10 years, but have a long way still to go and would love to be under 200. Goal is to be at 168. I'm 5ft 10. I've never been that weight in my adult life, so it does feel like it's unchartered territory! Would love to join you all…
  • Hi Amy - welcome on board and best of luck with achieving your weight loss.
  • Hi - I'd love to join please. I have about 60 more to lose and want to achieve by end of November (in time for my 40th), so this would fit in great. Let me know what's needed:smile:
  • Hi and welcome - 4st is what I've still got to lose to just be in the healthy range, so I know how hard the road ahead seems! But I do find everyone on here so inspirational and a true motivation to keep going. I do hope you enjoy the site and I look forward to seeing/reading how you get on!
  • I ordered one from Amazon at the weekend, which hasn't arrived as yet. I will call in at Lidl later on and see if they've got any left. I've no idea what good looks like with a HRM, so will be useful to have something at least.
  • That's fantastic!! I'm battling with clothes today - some of the trousers I have are just plain awful when I put them on, but I know I can't yet fit into the next size down as yet. It's a great problem to have though!! Have a fab evening!

  • I'm in the same boat - I've always wanted to be able to run. Is currently a case of the mind is willing, but the body isn't!! I downloaded the podcasts today from the UK website and want to give it a go tomorrow.
  • Hi - would be happy to be added too. I just started looking at C25K today and would love to be able to run - I currently have trouble walking quick! However, I've downloaded the workouts to my ipod and am going to give it a go tomorrow. Last time I tried to run, I managed a couple of minutes and came home and went straight…
