  • I've had the blueberry one a while back and remember it being pretty good, have you tried that one? I had Wegman's Banan-a Peel'n ice cream last night and it was the best banana base ice cream I've ever had, I highly recommend it. On tap tonight is Wegman's Nutter Batter, pretty pumped to try this as I'm a huge PB junkie.
  • Science bomb: Aspartamine / artificial sweetener "Finally, the results of the extensive scientific research done to evaluate these allegations did not show a causal relationship between aspartame and adverse effects. Thus, the weight of scientific evidence confirms that, even in amounts many times what people typically…
  • Only 1,500? That's a feast! How much more do you want?
  • That counts then! Hah. Good to see other people doing this. I don't do it everyday, just depends on when I make myself eat as I have no appetite. I normally do 500-600 cals for breakfast, 250-300 as a snack in the mid-afternoon, and then feast around 8pm. I really enjoy doing this.
  • It's good to see I'm not alone, good stuff everyone!
  • @arditarose: I can't imagine someone eating all good whole foods with that many calories to hit but I'm not judging him or anything, just curious.
  • @hornsby: wow that's impressive, I don't know how you manage to do that. I'm assuming you don't eat solely "healthy/clean" food?
  • @Jruzer: can't offend the wife and not eat her cooking! @arditarose: I would get sad if I had to eat a small dinner as well.
  • Hah hey now, I enjoy the premium stuff too! Ah ok, shame as they are both solid. I may have Edys pb cup tonight, not sure yet, definitely not halo top lol.
  • @smk: I don't do this everyday, just some days. Is it hard for you because you get hungry? @ana: I'm 25yrs old, 5'10, 130lbs. I work a desk job but have a standing desk, and am just getting back to working out due to injuries. Still can't do lower body so it's just upper body for now. I'm dealing with digestive issues and…
  • @Kim: no I'm not starving, so I'll keep it up then. Good plan with saving cals for dinner so you don't have to worry about it. @Sue: The same thing happens with me, it's so weird. It doesn't matter what I'm doing on the weekends either, I could be really active or do absolutely nothing and either way I could wait until…
  • Huh, nevermind then. Yep, individual preferences then hah. I like hard ice cream so that's why I enjoy halo top. On a different note: I picked up Wegman's banan-a peel'n and nutter batter and both are ridiculously good. Like, the banana may be my #2 behind B&J PB cup. I only had a spoonful of each but I plan on having a…
  • You must have gotten a bum pint because every time I've had 2nd street the caramel was awesome and present in every bite. I still love Talenti, just not as much as 2nd street.
  • Ah ok, sorry about that I must have missed that discussion. Yea food is all personal preference, just how like I enjoy Halo Top while others do not. Definitely try 2nd Street if you can, it's one of my favorite ice creams.
  • Ah ok, thought I saw you on there. Talenti's is always a solid choice. I've had Steve's and was not impressed, I like mix-ins so that's why I enjoy Talenti's. That's a good list, I'm a peanut butter cup fan so mine would pretty much be B&J, Wegman's, and Edy's PB cup hah. I'm surprised 2nd Street Creamery's Copper Kettle…
  • Hah well that is true. What's your top 3 ice creams then? I've seen you around BB.com (I think) but a lot on here as well.
  • Oh ok. It blows Arctic Zero out of the water, now THAT stuff is nasty hah. @Iliftheavy: I really enjoy them but it depends on the person.
  • Why not? I'm all for B&J PB cup but I like changing it up. I find them to be very tasty, you don't?
  • Anyone here like Halo Top Ice Cream? Stuff is legit for only 280cals per pint. The vanilla bean and lemon cake are both great, I'm not a fan of chocolate and have not been able to find the strawberry flavor yet.
  • You're welcome! I will say one thing, there are arguments for both sides of the constipation and fiber debate. It's the most annoying thing with anything, especially medicine, and how a case can be made for either side. This site here is one I recently found and he promotes to stay away from fiber, so if the constipation…
  • Guys, seriously, I cannot recommend this book enough: http://www.amazon.com/Cure-Constipation-Now-Doctors-Therapy/dp/0425227553/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1415726115&sr=8-3&keywords=constipation+cure He has an entire chapter devoted to IBS and I'm reading it now and he literally word for word describes my symptoms. He presents…
  • Good to hear you've found some good products. I've had Bob's Red Mill gluten free oats before and enjoy them; now I'm using Trader Joe's gluten free oats because the store is closer to me. Italian restaurant? Must be nice! I love veal chops and osso bucco, my favorite Italian restaurant growing up made both dishes and did…
  • You're welcome! Honestly, all the restrictions do more harm than good for many people. I was eating bland food and unable to maintain my weight, now I said screw it and am eating whatever I want and it has been working in gaining weight, although my stomach still feels bad. It's unfortunate miralax didn't work for you,…
  • I switch between two breakfasts: 1. 3 eggs with spinach, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 5oz strawberries, Dannon light and fit GY/chicken sausage. 2. Protein pancakes, some sausages, 5oz strawberries. Looking at your diary, it seems like you eat pretty healthy food. Don't be afraid to eat some junk, as long as the majority of your diet…
  • I understand completely what you are going through. I had a major flare-up 7 weeks ago and lost 12lbs in 4 weeks. I still have not been hungry since then and have had to force down every meal. I have mild gastroparesis and severe constipation. I thought GP was the root of all my problems but it turns out that it's not, an…
  • Thanks for all the advice! How was your mom diagnosed? I seem to have a lot of the symptoms of diverticulitis but a number of stomach problems have the same symptoms so it's hard to know which one you have without getting the proper tests. How do you manage your ibsc? Does it ever cause you to lose weight? I've actually…
  • Thanks! Yea I had to leave work early one day because I couldn't stand it. I've tried ensure but I really can't tolerate it when I'm flaring. Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate the help.
  • Hah, that was funny about the guardrail. I wish I had your problem as I have consolation like 24/7. Good to hear you didn't lose weight. I'm currently 127lbs at 5'10 as a 25yr old guy so I'm pretty frickin thin, I haven't cracked 2K calories in 3 weeks. I'm seeing a gastroenterologist and actually getting an endoscopy done…
  • Yea that's what I'm finding out through all my googling, unfortunately. I'll keep on eating them since they don't cause issues. Did you ever lose weight due to IBS? My flareup has been going on for 3 weeks and the debilitating stomach pains have prevented me from eating (no appetite) and I'm down 10lbs already. I checked…
  • Hmm, yea it seems so. I asked my gastroenterologist about it and she said they are fine even for people who have stomach issues. I did some more googling and apparently IMO fiber feeds good bacteria and encourages a good gut environment, so I'll keep eating them.
