  • I've had sugar alcohols all the time and don't seem to be bothered by them, sorry to hear about your daughter.
  • I would rather have that issue as I suffer from pretty bad constipation. If they were fine before, it may have been something else you ate, I can't imagine them causing issues months down the road from when you started having them (if that's how long it was).
  • You should be working with a dietician who specializes in eating disorders and not asking a bunch of people on the Internet.

  • I was going to make a post about something similar, but for IBS-C. I most likely have SIBO as well, but from my experience the cookie-cutter diets don't work. That being said, the big offenders like wheat, onions, and garlic are the ones you want to avoid the most as they are the main ones to cause problems with people.…
  • Wait so your macros add up to your total cals? I just went through adding up the macros and comparing it to the cals for everything I ate the past few days. It seems that the huge discrepancy is due to quest bars and halo top ice cream. Quest bars were 50 cals more if going off macros, and the ice cream was 121.9 cals more…
  • Yea I searched before asking this and couldn't find an answer for it. I do the same, except I make sure I hit my fat minimum as well. How big of a discrepancy is there for you? I find mine ranges from 50-280 cals depending on the day.
  • @bcattoes: the problem is that the final weight of the food can differ depending on the cooking method so that's why using the raw weight is most accurate. But in this situation it looks like I'll use the cooked weight. @Francl27: Thanks! Looks like I'll use that as well.
  • So just use the calorie info for the cooked squash entry in MFP then? My problem is it's not as accurate as using raw weight, but in this case it may just be the way to go.
  • My food cost per month was good until I discovered Quest Bars, now I have one every day and am addicted to them hah. Favorite is CCCD, but I also like PB&J, DDC, and WCR. I preordered a box of Cookies and Cream and cannot wait to try it next week.
  • Thanks! I use Cellucor as well and love it. My favorite is PBM, with CS second and CnC third.
  • Looks really good! What's the recipe?
  • I'll add you, I'm currently around 139lbs or so and looking to get up to 150 short-term and 165 long-term.
  • I know it's hard to believe but I don't like nutella. I know, it's a sin, but I honestly don't. I love peanut butter though so I've been loading up on that.
  • I've actually been going the full fat Greek yogurt route lately on days where I don't want a sugar overload. I get the 2% fat GY (highest fat I can find in the stores near me) and mix in a scoop of protein powder. I throw it in the freezer for around 1-1.5 hours and it's a tasty frozen treat. I mix in peanut butter as well…
  • @tjthegreatone: Yea I've been pounding pop tarts when I cannot stomach any more food, thanks for the suggestions. 3,000 is a lot, I'm gaining around a pound to a little more on 2,500, but I may have to go to that if I don't increase enough this week. I stocked up on some cereal so I'm going to get a bowl every night if…
  • Hah yes it is! Although I'll most likely end up under eating because I will not be measuring my food and I'm always full. I'm not a huge fan of the food anyway, sure I like turkey and sweet potatoes but that's about it as far as food goes. Yea I'm weird :P Now Christmas? I'm totally down with that, give me a big prime rib…
  • @2spamagnet: Nice! I don't know if any restaurants near me offer them, I have to check. @euonymust: eh, I would rather have not lost the weight in the first place, it sucked. I don't like chocolate milk but that's pretty funny! If there was an 8th day it would involve chocolate for sure. @solongandthan: your description is…
  • Can't do granola, can only do oats if they are cooked (aka oatmeal). The sweet potato idea is new, I've never heard of doing that before. And yes, butter and cinnamon always top my sweet potatoes, makes them delicious! Haven't tried sour cream or yogurt, sounds like it would be good as well, thanks!
  • @2spamagnet: MFP says 2,510 to gain 1lb/week but going off of my trend line my maintenance is anywhere from 1,800-2,000. It's hard to pinpoint due to constipation issues caused by my disease which makes trackin real weight difficult. For reference, I went from 139lbs to 135.4lbs in two days due to bowel movements both days…
  • Good point. Things I cannot eat/drink: milk, coconut milk, nuts, mass gainers, ensure/boost/glucerna, not too many grains (a few times a week is fine, and certain kinds more than others), olive oil, shakes...there may be more. I also cannot graze all day, I can do three meals and a snack immediately following dinner, for…
  • @googlebear: Nice videos. Yea it's not a problem of food limitations, just a matter of forcing myself to eat. Ice cream was a big help tonight hah. @ndj: I don't like pizza, I know, it's heresy. I'm a huge fan of Reese's though and I stocked up on them. @bheathfit: I have 3 tubs of Cellucor whey protein that I'm working…
  • Thanks, it definitely is!
  • I've been doing PB with meals and right after dinner. I mentioned on the first page that I cannot do snacks at all, I tried doing it before and it gave me horrible stomach pains. I think it's something to do with giving my stomach some breather room in between meals to just focus on digesting what's already in there. PB is…
  • I've tried boost, ensure, and glucerna but all of them wreck my stomach. It's basically sugar water with a bunch of other crap in it, so I'm not surprised that they have this effect on me. Thanks for the suggestion though, would be an easy way to knock back a good chunk of cals.
  • @googlebear: I can do orange juice, just not a lot. It's really weird that my stomach can handle junk food better than stuff like broccoli, certain animal fats, olive oil, and nuts. I'll try adding that in when I struggle. @JoRocka: how active are you? Maintenance depends on not just height, weight, and gender but also…
  • @GBPack: I totally agree. I had a SEC McGriddle this past weekend and it was pathetic. I really enjoy Dunkin Donut's breakfast sandwiches so I'll hit those up. Not a fan of pizza, and none of the other places you mentioned are near me. I've never even heard of Culver's before, I must live under a rock or something hah.…
  • @st_scrivener: Yea I've been loading up on as much carbs and fats as I can, I just can't go too high with my stomach. 3k seems like a ton of food, I'm hoping I crack 2,500 tonight with dinner and a snack. @googlebear: I definitely need to switch to protein shakes when it gets tough. I just can't make them calorie dense due…
  • Thanks for accepting my friend request. I can drink protein powder and water but nothing else. I could tolerate almond milk but it's not really calorie dense. I've tried doing more than three meals but I can't, I have no idea why but if I try to eat more often than that I get really bad pains. I guess I need to give me…
  • @thesink: I used to sautée sliced potatoes in a skillet to get a nice crust but lately I've been enjoying nuking them in the microwave to cook them faster and as a change of pace. I'll definitely give yours a shot, might use chicken sausage instead of breasts since I already eat it for lunch. @pantino: I agree, which is…
  • @primalrunner: yea you are pretty active! Reading a book on the elliptical must take some skill with all the bobbing up and down you do on it hah. @angie: I can't do nuts due to digestion but I can do PB so I've been having that. @thesink: that sounds delicious, thanks for the suggestion, but pasta does not sit well with…
