Best advice: go to your doctor! You are at risk for some serious nutritional deficiencies if your food is literally going right through you! Also, replace those fluids aggressively in the meantime. Good luck and get well soon!

Add me, too! I lost 25lb last year with dedicated MFP and working out, then I moved to Chicago in Oct '12 and gained almost 10 back! :( I want to get rid of that 10lb again. Honestly I don't mind if the number on the scale stays the same as long as my body changes. My "weight" goal is to feel confident jogging outside in a…

organic and non-organic produce has more-or-less the same nutrition. Go for the "regular" versions of all the organic stuff. Don't let price be a barrier to getting healthy!

I did a 3+ hour hike today, so I skipped RI30. Do you do it every day? Do you still do it if you did another big burner activity that day?
-
bump. this is great!

Thanks EmGetsFit! I'm arriving Oct 8th, ready to start a new chapter of my life!

Great! I did day 2 of week 1 today. It's tough but I made it through. There's a lot of squats!

I'm moving to Chicago, I'll be there in time! What's the story?

Fixed! Thanks!

1230 is way too low for a woman growing a baby! You need 300-500 cal on top of your non-pregnant requirements, growing a baby requires a lot of energy! Continue making healthy food choices, don't grab the extra calories from junk food. Get a lot of calcium and vitamin D because pregnancy takes a toll on your bones, too.…

Every fitness professional will tell you that you cannot "spot reduce" this is true whether you're talking hips, tummy, or shoulders. The way to reduce the size of your shoulders is overall weight loss. This is done by calorie deficit as other posters have stated. It's a slow process, mamacita, but YOU CAN DO IT!

Annadel, get your butt off the couch right now and gimme 25 jumping jacks, 10 push ups, and 20 crunches!!!!

The *exact* same thing is going on with me right now. I started Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 today and I'm hoping I can stick with it and uncover those abs I know are in there. I also find that I look slimmer when I am super well-hydrated.
-
@ChublessBunny: wow, girl! That's a lot of intensity. Let us know if it's manageable, and give yourself a break if it's not. You are gonna be totally ripped!

@KCramer12: nice job! Keep it up! What's your biggest barrier to doing the workouts? Are you following the diet plan?

The 30DS was awesome. It was really hard and I think there is a permanent sweat stain on my rug! But I could feel myself getting stronger every few days! I also took before and after photos and it was awesome to see the difference. (My profile "after" pic is the "before" for the shred) I recommend taking one day off and…

I only have 5lb weights at home, so when I started and realized that was insane, I switched to full water bottles instead (probably about 1lb). Then I increased my weights as it got a little easier. You could even start out the weight moves with nothing in your hands! Take on this challenge, you can do it!!!!!

how long do you bake it for?

I'm on day 24 (though it's taken me about 35 days to get here!) and I didn't level-up systematically. I increased my level when I felt like I could probably rise to the challenge. Level 1 and 2 never started to feel "easy" for me. But I hit a point that was a combination of "I'm really sick of this one" and "I think I…

good point!

no need to be embarrassed, this is one of the most fun exercises! Make sure you try lots of positions, climb on top and work your quads and glutes! I'm interested in what your HRM says!

Maddie, you need to eat a lot more than 1200 calories/day when you are doing a lot of exercise! When you dramatically decrease the fuel you give your body, the body believes you are starving and trys to conserve your weight. This may be part of your difficulty losing weight despite trying to eat better and working out.…

RainHoward, Congratulations on your decision to change your life! Realizing your need to lose weight and get healthy for your future is the first step. You found the motivation to join this website, too. Great job! Because of your pain issues, exercise does not have to be a priority right now. Improving your diet can have…

All excellent advice! Another great consideration: Processed food often has a looong shelf life. Good food should rot. If bugs, bacteria, and fungi refuse to eat it, why on earth would you put it in YOUR body?

If you sip water throughout the day, you will maintain the good hydration that helps your body be healthy and function optimally. If you follow this, you should be fine. I'd say 8-10 oz in one fell swoop to help fight a craving is fine. Try sugarless gum when you're feeling snacky, as well. Avoid chugging water or drinking…
