thanks! I didn't see that "My Blog" button. I do know. Thanks everyone for your help!

I feel the same way. I almost have to exercise each day in order to be able to eat enough to feel full. Sometimes I think it's too low for me, but I am also only 5'0 and 125 so maybe it's right.

Yes I'm back on today. Had a healthy breakfast, going to get done some cleaning and log that calorie burn, do a short kettlebell workout and try out my Jillian Michaels workout.
-
That's crazy!

Pre-MFP I always thought about chocolate when something stressful came up. It calmed me. I did that today without even thinking. I should have thought to workout. Oh well. It's a bad day. Thanks for all of your encouraging works. It means so much. He did serve our country well and he's got wings now! Oh, my Epstein Barr…

I heard it's bad not to eat your exercise cals as it could cause your body to go into starvation mode and make it harder to lose weight.
-
Get that burger! One cheat day is going to hurt, but could possibly help you!
-
Great advice mjtwomail. I'm learning so much on here about calories, exercising and weight loss!
-
Thanks for the video links guys!

I would try to eat something small and healthy to get as close to 200 as possible. I've been told on here that you need to eat the calories you earn from exercising and try to stay within your range. Too much of a deficit and your body goes into starvation mode and it's harder to lose weight.

Not sure why the quote didn't post the first time, but these are exactly all the reasons why I work out in the evening. Also, I am a school teacher and must get up at 5:30 each morning so that has a lot to do with why I don't work out in the a.m.! lol
-
Cari- I am definitely with you here!
-
This all does make sense. So if I exercise more and create a deficit, I need to eat those calories and definitely never go under 1200 (eating and exercise calories) or I may gain. thanks for the info!
-
Like yesterday I ate 1,360 cals and burned 245 cals. That left me with 1,115 cals.
-
Wow, I am doing it all wrong then! I'm trying to create a huge deficit to try and lose weight faster! I guess I am not supposed to do that.

I have been keeping track of everything I eat using this site for four days now. I have the free app on my iphone so entering in all of my foods and exercises has been extremely easy. The database for food and exercise is huge; I haven't found anything NOT on the database that I eat. I love the support from others and the…

I was getting ready to post the same question! My Jillian Michaels' 30-Day Shred came today in the mail! I can't wait to try it out later! Let me know how you like it.

I haven't been at my goal weight since I was a senior in high school. I am only 5'0, so 115 is the perfect weight for me. I am pretty muscular, so it's going to be hard for me to reach my goal weight.

A workout schedule is a great idea. I didn't know I'd be this sore after kettlebells because I had never worked out with them before. I know now not to do them two days in a row and take a cardio day. I only plan to rest once a week.
-
I would say focus more on heavy cardio and ab, oblique workouts. Try not to do as much strength training in the lower body and focus on the abs.
-
Just pushed through. Burned only about 100 cals but it was enough to put me under my calorie goal for the stay. I stayed under 3 days in a row now :-) I hope this continues and I start seeing results!
-
I'm going to do a light workout on the elliptical to burn a few cals even though I am sore. Going to take a break from kettlebells and hit it hard tomorrow!
-
I bought the one with the 5lb kettle bell. I should have gotten the 10. Although I feel like I got a decent workout, I think I am ready for the 10lb. Going to pick that one up soon. I am waiting on Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred to come. Going to start doing that also. But yeah, I ended up sweating a lot and I'm pretty…

Chickabittie - I'll let ya know!
-
PLUMSGRL - I am getting off of here now to try it. Really hoping to get a good workout. I'm going to log 15 cals per minute to be conservative since I'm petite.
-
I definitely need definition in my arms! I'm looking for all over definition but definitely in the arms.
-
Why are you even dieting if you are 5'4 and 122? That sounds like an awesomely healthy weight! I am 5'0 and 126 and want to just get to 115. I'm not downing you or anything, just saying that that sounds like a very healthy weight and you don't want to get too small.
-
I know it does sound exaggerated. I found all of this research online that says they burn on average 20 calories per minute. I tried entering it on here and Sparkpeople and couldn't find anywhere that it was already listed in the database, so I have no idea the actual caloric burn! FabulousFifty- I got it at Walmart!…

I had both. My treadmill died. I personally think I get a much better and more intense workout (more cals burned) on the elliptical. It really tightens your butt and thighs more than the treadmill.
