That sounds really good. Will try focusing on what I do eat and making sure I keep a balance of all food groups.

I eat beans but will try adding some soy too.

Probably around 30 pounds to be my ideal weight. Yes you are right, I just meant I expected the first 7lbs to come off in first couple of weeks. Ive started running and strength training so thinking it could be water retention and muscle so will try to look at averages also each week. I will try to use weights instead of…

Hi I have a lot more to lose than that. Prob 30 pounds. I just usually find the first half a stone comes up quick but this time it hasnt. I changed it to 1200 because not seen any weighloss in a month. So thought maybe 1400 just too high for me. Im 5'3.

Hi would love some new friends now that I am back on here. <3

These must be American? Never seen before but they look awful.
-
Dont see it as exercise just find a hobby you like that involves moving. Cycling, a sport, walking, yoga, badminton, tennis, belly dancing - anything. Ive been using the couch to 5k app for past 2 months and now I look forward to my daily runs. I have always hated running! Its hard but i feel so much better after it.
-
I do use scales and have just started logging food here again to make sure I am really in a defecit. My daily cal target was 1400, but I have just changed it to 1200 to see if that helps a bit. I will try be even more precise in what I enter here.

Every Friday morning. Underwear only and after morning pee!

Well done thats an amazing achievement!!

I am just learning, on week 3 of Couch to 5k and loving it. Even though I am only running for 3 mins at a time etc, still feel so proud of myself as I have always hated running and avoided it my entire life and convinced myself I was just incapable of it. I miss it on the rest days but do long 5-7 k very brisk walks…

1 mile jog/walk 4 mile very brisk walk

Happy to be friends with you and anyone else who would like to. I have around 20-25 pounds to lose.

To take raspberry ketones - ugh if they worked NHS would give them away for free.

Continue to eat your favourite foods - cutting out will only make you crave them more. Just have them in smaller portions and make little changes (use low cal oil, grill not fry, make your own sauces) Keep searching for healthy versions of the foods you love and you will find ones you like. But do force yourself to try and…

JFT wed 6th Jan After a really awful few months of not being able to sleep, exercise go out - was diagnosed with Depression yesterday. However, going to be positive and use a good diet and exercise to help me out of this dark time. So, JFT 1. Eat a health breakfast of super grain porridge to get lots of B vits 2. Log all…

I'm 5'3 and my goal is around 130-135. I am not sure it will depend how I feel/look as I lose weight. I am more focused on my shape and health than I am numbers on a scale now.
-
The more you have to lose overall, then the more you can lose in a month. Once you get closer to goal weight, it becomes really difficult to lose huge numbers each month. As you weigh over 300 pounds - then yes - you maybe could lose around 20 in your first couple of months, but a lot of it will be water etc. I think as…

Yummy. I could live on wraps - love all these suggestions. I like thin/lean strips of beef, stir fried with onion, peppers, chilli. Lettuce Guacamole Tomato Low fat grated cheese Salsa

Definitely NOT googling that LOL

I usually eat a brand in the UK called "sunpat" I didn't watch the whole programme I had to turn it over. Just saw the average number found in jars a year - was enough to put me off my fave food forever :( I haz sad.
-
That is definitely my issue. I should have switched it off :(
-
Bumping this as the whole issue of macros really confuses me. Do they matter if you are in a calorie deficit anyway?
-
Yeah her website is definitely not right. I entered my own information and she said I was obese! I am marginally over my BMI so definitely not obese. She also recommended 1200 cals a day for me.
-
Great post. Doing my first time ever in free weights tomorrow - wish me luck!
-
Track everything you eat, every single day. It will help you stick to your deficit and also show you where you are going wrong. Don't try to change too much at one time. Every couple of weeks have a new target when you overcome one bad habit. If you are really, really craving something - have it. But not too much and then…

I'm in Scotland - anyone can add me :)

When I work out a lot my weigh loss slows down and plateaus. I don't know why. I do think that for me (not saying for anyone else) I am better to focus on my diet to lose weight, then add in my exercises when I am close to my goal and then maintaining to keep healthy and tone up. I would maybe try eating 1500-1600 for a…

If you are still in a calorie deficit each day - then no - eating a healthy breakfast is not causing you to put on weight. Maybe open your diary so people can take a look and see if it is something else you are doing? You say it makes you hungry - maybe make sure you eat a lot of protein and slow release carbs in your…
