Hey there, I picked up running a few years ago and I found the couch to 5k program really helpful. It’s a run / walk program that gradually increases your run time as you progress. You can repeat weeks as necessary also until your comfortable and ready to lengthen the run/jog time Hope this helps!

@akb1249 Congrats on your hard work paying off! I'm just starting my journey but I can appreciate the time and effort it takes to get there. I like the idea of meal prep on weekends. Would definitely make it easier to stay on track during the week!

I am not having any issues with milk supply. I have a happy healthy baby and I am loving every minute of it. Making healthy choices and trying to get active are not going to take away from that. I have not set any specific or restrictive goals. A mom looking out for her own health at the same time as her babies can only be…

@mitch16 I will be careful as I am breastfeeding. I haven't come up with a concrete plan yet regarding calories. I just want to focus on making healthy choices and getting active. Trying to take small steps... I have much less time for myself these days so it's important to set attainable goals!

I am getting married October 1, 2016! Currently I am 162 lbs and hoping to lose at least 40 lbs ( I am 4'11). Big challenges ahead but my fiancée and I have signed up for a half marathon in June. I am hoping to do a second one in August. I find signing up for an actual race helps me stay on track. Don't want to be the last…

Right now I do a five min warm up, run at about 5.8 mph for 3 min, then do 7 mph for one minute. I continue this routine for the desired length of time, then crank up the run speed for my last one minute run interval. As I get stronger over time, I increase both the jog and the run speed. I find the time goes by really…

My first half was in Niagara last year :) it was such a great experience, and such a beautiful location. The women there were so motivating and there is an endless stream of high fives, you are going to love it!
