40+ pounds GONE!

The picture on the left breaks my heart. I remember being her, with the painful knees, and being constantly out of breath. My knees were so bad, that walking up a flight of stairs was almost impossible. I had stopped weighing at this point, but I estimate that I was around 230. The pic on the left is from this weekend. I'm down to 183, and feel fabulous! My knees never hurt, I have tons of energy, and I feel better than I ever have! So even though the "before" picture makes me sad, I'm keeping it as a reminder of why concentrating on my health is so important.

You look great. Congratulations. You are inspiring me to stay on this journey. I have severe knee problems. They are talking about knee replacement for both knees. I am hoping if I lose the weight, I may not need to replace them. Thanks for sharing your story.

I'm so sorry about your knees! It's a horrible feeling to know that you can't move like you want to. I can tell you that I began to notice a change after the first 10 pounds. Good luck! You've got this!!!0 -

You look wonderful! You have given me hope that if I stay on this journey my knees will stop hurting so much as well. Any suggestions for exercises that are easy on my knees?0

I started with walking, and I invested in some very good shoes. Hoka One One makes very padded shoes that take a lot of pressure off the knees.1 -
