OP wrote "Is it better just to have some of what you are craving, last week it was pizza, ice cream waffle cone, ice cream sundae and Chinese. I ate all this in two days and was over about 1000 calories over each day." I'll occasionally have some of my trigger foods but not if it will put me over my calories for the day…

All I can think of is that is a first goal. If you hit it you can re-evaluate and bring your weight down some more. Any weight loss will make you healthier than where you started..........

I use a lot of the Glad 1cup containers and have no financial interest in the product. PS. I don't use them for measuring. I put them on the scale, then add the food to the weight I need.

If you feel well I wouldn't change a thing.

I eat small amounts all day long but you don't have to do that to lose weight. I do it so I'm never hungry. Do what works for you and eat chocolate when you like as long as you control the total calories you eat over the week. It's not a stupid idea but it isn't necessary to lose weight.

If you really want to get those issues under control start carrying your meals to work with you. It's summer time and grilling is a man's excuse to hang outside. Grill up a few lbs of chicken breast, salmon, flank steak, pork tenderloin....or whatever you like. Use spices rather than sauces. Freeze the meat in serving…

You only gained 10 back. It won't take long to get rid of that. You know the routine from last time and you'll do even better than you did last time. Friend me if you think it will help you.

Why not just calculate how many calories you'd need to maintain the weight you want to be and eat that to lose weight? The 'starve yourself, then change your eating habits again' thing has lead me to gain and lose the same 25 to 30 lbs. my whole life. If you eat at maintenance from the beginning you won't lose the weight…

I imagine your teeth looked pretty red after drinking the smoothy too.

Stress causes me to lose my appetite.

When I first started I read all the beginners sticky's and tried to get a handle on how to adapt the information to my situation. Since then I've adjusted my diet, exercise, macros and expectations many times and now I don't think too much about any of it. I just eat small amounts throughout the day and weigh myself once a…

I've worked at controlling my internal dialog for years. Meditation helps me accept what I can't change and helps me stay centered. That doesn't mean that I'm not "bat **** crazy" like everyone else though.

Is Keto or "Heavily processed grains and ....sugar" the only two choices? PS. Besides you who says humans are inteded to eat Keto?
-
I lose my appitite when I'm stressed too. (I'm hardly ever stressed so I need to lose another 10lbs at least) Currently I've been in the same boat but figured I'd just take the extra weight loss for a while and things should go back to normal soon. (Yesterday I ate a small piece of chocolate and got hungry again so I ate a…

What portion sizes?????????? I like all you choices, but it's all about calories in and out.
-
Not judging in any way but why have you chosen Keto? I have friends who have done it long term.
-
Sure. No problem.

Prunes and plenty of water.

Congrats!

Steel cut oatmeal, fresh fruit and coffee. Under 200 cals and I'm too lazy to look up the fiber.

An occasional hand full of cookies that takes you over your calorie limit isn't going to effect you much. I think it's the everyday stuff that is counter productive. Enjoy them and move on and if you think a two day "detox" is what you'd like to do, just pick another two days. (I'm not convinced about detoxing unless…

Yes, me too. There is a clue for you to work with. I think it's silly to completly cut out anything you really like but you may have to keep your distance from them most of the time.

Do you make your own food, use packaged / processed foods to cook with or eat out most of the time? I've found that when I crave something a 3oz serving of lean protein helps. On the other hand if the craving lasts for 2 or 3 weeks I'll have a normal serving size protion of it and move on. I've also found that making my…

I don't stress if something doesn't get weighed but the scale has taught me a lot about portion size and calorie density. My take on it is, it's a good tool but not essential.
-
Sounds great. Simple recipes are the best. Let the food stand on it's own.

I'm losing due to stress. When I'm stressed I lose my apatite so this is a perfect time to drop the weight I need to drop. Hope you feel better.

I first read the heading as "Looking for weightless friends!".

I went out and bought a bunch more salad plates and put the normal dinner plates on a higher shelf since I hardly use them.

This is the way I see it too. Even when I weigh in and am one pound down that is a small goal that is a foundation for my larger goal of being healthy. (I don't have a set weight I'm shooting for. I figure weight is only one aspect of being healthy) Best of luck and don't be impatient. You're not on a diet, you're changing…
