  • No!! Really?? How rude! No, the truth is you ARE pretty, extra weight and all! You just need to work on getting to a healthier weight. Really, what are these people thinking?
  • Welcome! This is a fantastic website. Feel free to friend me if you like!
  • Yeah...cupcakes too!
  • Fudge, brownies, cake. I allowed my 12 year old to make brownies the other night and I wolfed down two of them like there was no tomorrow. It is exactly like crack.
  • Well, I'm married and even if I wasn't that would seem kinda silly to me.
  • I never got over Barbies. I still collect them, and so does my sister. We sometimes have "barbie night" where we take old beat up barbies, usually vintage ones, and refurbish them and fix their hair back up the way it is supposed to be, then dress them in a new outfit to display in our cabinets. We learned all the secrets…
  • Water weight gain totally drives me nuts! I hate it. So I'm in the same boat. Soon as that time of month hits...I'm 3 lbs heavier.
  • As soon as I eat. I try to keep up with it otherwise I might forget something.
  • I'm lost as well.
  • Things I HAVE to have: Chlorox clean-up, Murphy's Oil Soap, Dish Washer Detergent, Dishsoap, garbage bags and leaf bags, and of course toilet paper and kleenex. FOOD STAPLES: Mrs. Dash (I cannot tell you how often I use this to cook - highly recommended) Kosher Flake Salt, Peppercorns, season salt, the rest of the…
  • Hello! This place is awesome and has been such an inspiration and motivation for me. I cannot express how helpful it is to keep the diary on here and log everything I eat. And EASY! If you have a smart phone, get the app too!
  • I'm 5'4". I'm trying to get down to 130, maybe 125. Sounds like rather than lose weight (I wish I could get down to 122) you just need to tone up. Weights, exercise...will get rid of those wobbly parts. Have you done any of those body calculators where you plug in your height and stuff and it gives you your ideal weight?
  • I'm getting kind of outspoken in my old age. ;-) Nobody has really done this to me ever, but I do have a guy who brings me granola bars every once-in-a-while and will just leave them on my desk when I'm not around. I give them to someone else or take them home to my kid. If someone was like insistant like that, I'd just…
  • Because when a woman says no she really means yes, right? Please...
  • She can have the yogurt, but would have to give up the granola. They might make a low carb granola product somewhere. You might find at netrition.com. No matter what, it's dieting. There's give and take with dieting. You want to eat whatever you want, you're gonna have to exercize to work it off.
  • I'm a big fan of pies, crisps and cobblers. They are my weakness.
  • Go to www.netrition.com and check out their low carb link. There are literally hundreds of low carb items to replace every day items that you use that are high in carbs, and also a ton of snack bars and stuff like that. If you are wary of sugar substitutes or sugar alcohols, this won't help much though.
  • That would be the Atkins diet. You could try way limiting your carb intake (talking 20-30g per day), this includes sugar which is straight carbs, and not worry about going over a bit. It's tough to do but that is the diet my husband, son, and I are on and we are all losing. But it's tough limiting the carbs. That means…
  • I've known that for awhile...but there's nothing quite like a toasted marshmellow. I don't care how it's made. LOL Now head-cheese...that's a different story...
  • I found that JC Penneys has a line of jeans that have different curves styles. If you read the tags, there are jeans made for women with more curves, less curves, skinny jeans, etc... Just try some different types on. I found the ones for curves look better on me.
  • I've been here a week. Love it! Good luck and welcome!
  • I'm somewhat new myself. Just started a week ago. Welcome!
  • I live in a suburb outside of Detroit. Nice to meet a fellow Michigander!
  • Wow! 78 lbs?? Good job! I could probably do just as you, but like I said I'm trying to stick with this for my husband's sake because he wants to do Atkins. And him actually wanting to diet (and give up pop---for real??? Shocker!) I want to do whatever I can to encourage it and help promote it.
  • Thank all you people who took time out of your busy schedules to offer me some constructive advice and ideas and examples to go by. I really do appreciate it. You are very thoughtful. To the people who assume I'm just a whiner, or too lazy and don't "want it" enough to do anything, save yourself the keystrokes and just…
  • I'm-a tryin'!
  • I have to be to work by 6 AM, so I get up to get ready at 5. So I think before work isn't a good time to do Yoga. The problem with after work (I would want to do it right after) is I get home and the area I need to do Yoga in (livingroom) is trashed from the kids and my husband. Some people need to start being responsible…
  • That sounds great! I definitely will try it.
  • I must admit I am not sticking to the 20 grams or less a day regime! But today I did only have 23 net carbs.
  • Well, thank you! But I am 37. My oldest is going to be 20 in a month! My youngest is 12.
