You're supposed to start Stronglifts with the bar if you're a total beginner. How is that 'heavy lifting'? I think the trainer just wants to be controlling regardless. When I and everyone I know started lifting we all did heavy lifting with compounds for sports and I'm talking about male and female athletes.

I eat whatever fits into my macros / calorie goals. Typically this ends up being clean foods a lot of the times anyway. If you're on restircted calories, you won't be able to fit that much junk into your diet regardless. But it won't kill you if you have a treat now and then if you can actually make it fit. Other thing…

I get them when I am dehyrated sometimes. This is pretty rare but it happened to me about 6 weeks ago and caused an injury even. I had gotten dehydrated to make weigh in for a powerlifting competition and wasn't fully rehydrated by the time I had to lift. I ended up cramping while lowering the weight on a bench press and…

I eat my calories for the day and I don't care if it's considered a meal, snack, or anything else. All that matters is at the end of the day whether I hit my calorie and macro goal or not.

Cinnamon protein powder. Sometimes more things like greek yougurt along with the protein powder if I want to make overnight oats and eat them cold the next day.

I did low carb the majority of my cut with a weekly carb refeed. Worked out great for me that way. I'd eat 75g or less 6 days a week and about 300 one day a week. My protein and fats always stayed the same. Keeping my protein up helped preserve muscle, keeping my fats up helped preserve hormones (figured this out the hard…

I lost 25 lbs using TDEE. I started slowly by eating 200 less than TDEE, then 300, then 500, then 700 as I progressed through my cut. After I made my goal and a little more, I started reverse dieting by adding 100 each week until I'm back at maintenance. I'm still at goal weight over a month later and close to will be at…

single, 26, waitress So when are we supposed to come clean with the true answers?
-
Initially no. Just read it and my response basically the same. I'll add that if one is not retaining or gaining muscle it's lack of real strength training coupled with diet issues.
-
TFW I got skipped over :(
-
lol @ clean Just make sure you don't eat over your allocated calories and try and keep your macros in line. If you're not losing weight you need to reduce calories further and / or add additional cardio.
