Going to a polo match tonight. Probably get at least a decent buzz on.

Ya, pretty silly but hopefully people get what I was talking about. WSFSB III is searchable at least. The second one was of a similar name but instead of 'skinny' search for fat. It's not from Defranco but it's on Tnation and is a similar program suited a little more towards fat loss. Both good programs though. I'm…

Water weight as already mentioned. Hell my weight fluctuates everyday, sometimes throughout the day. You cannot put on pounds of fat or muscle or lose pounds of fat or muscle in one day. If you ever fluctuate daily, it's always water. If you weight yourself every morning on an empty stomach and the AVERAGE weight…

I haven't logged since June of 2015. I don't feel that I need to be that specific especially with my macros. I eat mostly all whole, natural (not processed) foods, and a lot of organic foods at that. I don't eat a lot of red meat but I'll have a steak when I want one every now and then. I've increased my fish intake and…

I might do that tomorrow. lol It'll be the first day back running in a couple of months.

The whole 1 - 2 g of protein per lb of bodyweight thing is over-hyped. You don't need as much as people try to sell you. Generally these studies are paid for by supplement companies trying to sell you protein powders. I used to buy into all that too. But in the last couple of years I eat a lot less protein but keep the…

I've done it both ways. It really depends on you and your circumstances. When I was deployed, I did one cheat day a week. I would eat super strict 6 days a week and then go all out junk on Sunday - usually it was ice cream, pies, etc. I got shredded during that time but I was also super active and had no outside pressures…

Basically it's this^. I was watching a youtube about something related this morning. The guy said he was always being asked why he never had food cravings or binged. He said he never found comfort in food, he just used it as food. But he also said, what he found comfort in was drugs (he's clean now though) and couldn't…

I'd rather eat either actual animal / fish meats than something created in a lab. Or I'd even prefer a vegan diet than something created in a lab.

LOL I threw my bodyfat scale out, it was ridiculously inaccurate. It would tell me I was something like 50% bodyfat when I was already lean and had a 6 pack etc. Mirror and regular scale is good enough IMO.

Google a guy named Alex Viada. He's jacked and strong as hell (700+ lb deadlift etc) but also runs marathons and even ultra marathons.

Are you in a dry part of the country? Because it's humid where I live and I sweat as soon as I go outside lately. lol Can't wait for fall.

I guess it doesn't like the wording of the link because it's not politically correct enough for MFP??

Fixed second link.

No mention of conjugate or Westside? Or even WSFSB? :( WSFSB III: https://www.defrancostraining.com/westside-for-skinny-*kitten*-part3/ Westside for Fat *kitten* (I'm currently doing something similar) https://www.t-nation.com/training/westside-for-fat-*kitten* Simple version of Westside for novice…

A pound is a pound no matter the material. However, by volume muscle is more dense than fat. Look at it this way....Take a brick that weighs 10 lbs and then take a bag of feathers that weighs 10 lbs. They both weigh the same but that bag of feathers is going to be way bigger than the brick.

I wear Brooks Ghost 7 and notice my knees feel much better with them. Also, the Ghost 8 are out which means you can find the Ghost 7 for a discount usually. I got my for $60 but the Ghost 8 was selling for $130 and they're basically the same shoe.

Pretty much what everyone said about trying to do too much too soon as well as the shoes. I've experienced it myself. And usually a new pair of running shoes solved it for me. As well as easing into it over several weeks. I'm about to start running again myself and if I start feeling these pains I'll back it off and let…

It's my lifestyle, I've been working out since age 13 and I'm 43 now. It has 0% effect on my relationship. I workout before work, eat healthy, and do outdoorsy stuff with my wife who also eats healthy (probably healthier than I do in fact).

So far just a bannana but I got two tangerines on my desk. And will probably have a salad with dinner. Yesterday I ate two salads. lol

I haven't logged anything in over a year. lol

Reward for what?

True. I usually do a serious workout 4 times a week maybe 5 at most and then some fun activities on top of that. But only really going hard 4 times usually. In fact you don't HAVE to workout at all. But whatever results you (we) get will be from the choices / lifestyle each of us choose. In a super-busy time it may be…

For a sedentary person, BMI is OK. For an athlete, it's not really so good. BF% is better, hard to be accurate as already noted but still better than BMI. Then again, the mirror is good enough for me. lol

Never once had guilt about working out. When my kids were small I just worked out at home while they played in the same area I was working out in. I had a pretty good home gym setup and there was room for them to play and / or pretend to workout with me. Another thing you could do would be workout in the morning before…

I see a lot of people that keep repeating the binge / feel bad / complain about it cycle. They seem to actually know what they're supposed to do though but just don't do it. Seems like they sabotage themselves everytime they make progress. I don't know what to tell someone like this, especially when they seem to actually…

This generally pretty good IMO.

TDEE got me to 10% this summer. NEAT got me to spin my wheels last year and not get nearly as lean.

Men and women can and should train the same way.
